Ugh, new house woes. DH is installing a water softener and poured bleach in the water tank to "cleanse" it as per the instructions and I'm up here drinking water. I don't remember it tasting like bleach but luckily I didn't have a chance to drink much before he stopped me. I can't help but worry now though!
RLP when sneezing has been bad these past two days. Was lying on couch last night next to DH and I sneezed and felt like I had been stabbed in the lower abdomen. It didn't last long but poor DH got the fright of his life when my sneeze was swiftly followed by yelling/swearing! Lol
It's ok that my boobs are hurting less...right? Looking through this thread says yes, totally normal but damn if I'm not a crazy FTM.
Yes it's ok. Sometimes symptoms come and go and sometimes they just go away sorry to say though, the boob hurt will most definitely come back. It may not be until after you deliver but it will indeed be back lol.

@charley15, I just figured out what that is, you poor thing! I guess that's something I can maybe look forward to, huh?
Anyone feeling out of breath? It's not been very bad for me up until now but the last two days have been tough teaching. I keep having to stop talking and take big huge breaths. My kids must think I'm so weird, I'll have to tell them soon as I've also been a bit forgetful/absentminded!
@kynbar5 I feel like it's one of those symptoms that isn't widely known about pre pregnancy (as compared to m/s/ for example). It's kind of annoying but I'll take it over the m/s any day!
@ewck I'm always short of breath when I try to exercise. Some days even just walking from one end of the house to the other winds me. Walking and talking at the same time? Forget it!
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
@ewck totally normal. I've heard it's because of all the blood pumping through your lungs, etc. Like you are full to capacity right now. It's hard work making/growing a human - I've heard it's like you're running a marathon every day.

@ecwk yes I agree it is. It's the one no one tells you about lol. It gets really bad (for me at least) during the last month or so. My husband is always like "you make me so nervous because I don't know what to do and you're acting like you just ran across the country" haha. I will say though, closer to the end if it starts bothering you, check and make sure your bras are fitting correctly. It took me 3 pregnancies to figure out that if they're at all too tight it makes it so much worse smh.

Finally getting over all day nauesa, but holy constipation, Batman! Now that I can eat a bit, it just gives me the worst gas pains and I'm so uncomfortable.
I was soooo happy because I thought I was over the MS. I was wrong... It's just shifted to evening nausea. It caught me off guard at 11pm last night and I barely made it to the bathroom before my prenatal came back up. What's worse is that it was such a violent attack of nausea that I full on peed myself. Not a little bit, completely. I proceeded to cry in the shower from sheer disgust. Feel nauseated again and I'm terrified of a repeat performance. I'm finding it hard to convince myself to take my prenatal tonight. (
@soxfan9968 oh gosh you poor thing!! Is there any way you could go to bed earlier and maybe the sickness wouldn't be noticeable as you sleep? If you haven't already, speak to your doctor if this continues. I've not had m/s but I bet some other ladies here will have great advice. I hope you feel better soon!
@ecwk thanks. Some days I can get to bed early (not today or tomorrow). I was just taken aback last night. I've felt nauseated before but never gotten violently sick until last night. I feel fine most of the day until about 8pm for the past 3 days. If the violent attacks continue I'll definitely be pounding down on my doctors door. I'm just a big coward once I have had a bad experience.
@soxfan9968 I found that my prenatal was actually making me ill (I ended up switching to gummies). I couldn't figure out why I was having to pull over and barf on the way to school. Then I moved taking me prenatal to bedtime and the sickness followed!

My doctor recommended switching to gummies when I couldn't stop throwing up and I haven't thrown up since. It's been wonderful!
Ugh I need help! I literally pee every five minutes. I will go pee, come and sit down and get right back up and go pee again. This seems to happen more when I lay down at night to go to sleep. I'm only 14 weeks..is anyone else having this issue already or do I have something else going on? I'm a FTM so this is all new to me. Thanks in advance!!
This is my first pregnancy and I'm 16 weeks today.. Everything is going well but I've noticed that right after I wake up my lower stomach/uterus (?) feels really hard.. like there's a ball in there. But isn't it a bit early for this to start happening? It doesn't hurt and it seems to go away after I go to the toilet..
I will ask my dr at my next visit on Tuesday but was wondering if anyone here has had any experiences with this this early on thanks

Could you have a mild uti and not know it? That happened to me about a month ago, and my only symptom was frequent urination, which I assumed was just normal pregnancy stuff. But my dr did a culture and it came back positive. I took antibiotics, and while I've still gotta pee a lot, it's much better than it was before. Maybe that's something worth considering?
This is my second pregnancy and I'm only 12w5d and carpal tunnel has started. It didn't appear until 30ish weeks last time. And it's in both wrists not just one. (
The wind has been ridiculous where I live the past few days so inevitably its kicked up all kids of allergens. I'm in that stage of "sneeze and you're getting stabbed in the abdomen". Needless to say, at this point, I'd rather stub my pinky toe than sneeze for the 1,000th time.

Sooooo thankful that symptom has passed me by every time. Now RLP on the other hand, that's a bitch. And the tiny bit of blood when wiping last night, always throws me for a curve.

I have this too. I don't have a definitive answer, but I think you're probably feeling your uterus. My guess is that a full bladder pushes the uterus up higher so you can really feel it? I get the exact same thing in the morning.

My morning sickness is gone, which is great, but it seems to have been replaced with a constant headache. I'm drinking a metric ton of water (somewhere between 1/2 to a whole gallon a day) so it's not dehydration. I'm taking Tylenol when I can't handle it anymore, but hoping it goes away...

Sounds like braxton hicks contractions. I get them more at night for some reason.

This morning was day 6 for this headache. Finally killed it with some coffee and three straight glasses of water. Maybe I peed out the pain. Haha
@cmerribury I've had pretty intense headaches as well. Tylenol wasn't touching them, sleeping didn't help, But caffeine did! I drank very little caffeine the first trimester but when the headaches started, a friend told me to try a cup of coffee and it worked! Hope you find some relief!
I've been having a cup of coffee (I used to be a tea drinker, but now can't stand it) which my OB said was ok. Maybe I should move to the afternoon instead of the morning...
So at my appointment yesterday, my dr was a little concerned with my blood pressure. It wasn't high enough to prescribe anything yet but she wants me to keep an eye on it. I have a few questions for anyone that has dealt with high blood pressure.
1. Have you ever had to buy your own blood pressure monitor thing? Any idea of insurance would reimburse this with an RX from dr?
2. Any specific example or ideas to lower stress levels? Ever since DH was laid off my stress has been through the roof. DH says "don't stress, hon" which results in death dagger glares from me. Um if it was that easy not to stress, I wouldn't. I'm not a sadist! Any specific links to yoga or breathing stuff you have actually used are much appreciated.
3. Did you completely cut caffeine? I don't drink much at all. a few diet cokes each week is pretty much it. MAYBE a coffee here or there. The caffeine keeps some nasty headaches at bay so I'd hate to ditch it all together, but obviously I'd rather suffer through a headache than put my child at risk.
4. Did you change your diet? If so, how? I know sodium is a nono, but besides that...
I have high blood pressure but had it before baby. I do have my own monitor, but at the time I got it was on my parents insurance and carefree so didn't think to ask.
I really haven't changed my diet, but I have almost no caffeine in my diet anyway. The only thing I try to do is when I make something make it without salt, because you can always add it in.
