My Doctor Canceled On Me (Rant)

So I was scheduled to be induced tonight for medical reasons. My doctor just called me and canceled. Then told me she's going out of town so I will be delivering with a different doctor as well. I am so upset. I had this idea of a great experience, and now I'm just bummed and angry. I go in tomorrow evening now. It just stinks when you schedule everything and had my husband request off of work and told family and friends and now I'll have to explain it all over again. I almost want to shut my phone off so I don't get a bunch of texts with people asking questions. I've got a lot of feelings going on now. Hopefully things work out and I can still go in tomorrow. I'm not going to get my hopes up anymore.

    I feel you!! I had a c-section scheduled for tomorrow for MONTHS. And it was moved 2 weeks ago to this Saturday instead. I will be 40w + 3d and it's my 3rd c-section! And I have 2 kids in school. So much stress and planning! Hang in there!

    They probably didn't have room for you.  When I was induced I was told to call L&D and make sure they still had enough beds.  If enough women go into labor or have a serious medical need to be induced ASAP they will postpone you. They can't tell a women who is in active labor to wait until a bed is available.

    I'm so sad! I was totally looking forward to it. I'm hoping this doctor will be just as good. I think I'd be fine if she just switched dates on me but then telling me she's leaving town too! That upsets me even more. I'm not going to get my hopes up just in case if things change again on me.

    Maybe she had to leave town unexpectedly (death, illness, personal emergency). She doesn't have to explain why she's leaving but it makes me wonder if something serious happened since it seems spur of the moment?

    Hope you like the new doctor!

    I know!! I'm sad. Oh well! We shall see how tomorrow goes.
