Evenings were the way to go for me. I tried 3 times taking them in the mornings and puked them up every time. Haven't had an issue with taking them at night!
I've heard for some people taking them in the evening can help if you have nausea when taking them, but I personally take mine after lunch. I find by then I have enough food in my stomach for it to not be a problem.
I remember when DH had his stint put in the doctor said he wanted him to take his vitamins at night. Something happens in your body overnight that makes your body absorb the nutrients the best so I take mine at night. Plus I'm so nauseated and heard PN can sometimes make it worse so I'm not taking any chances.

I don't think there's one answer to this question and it's probably about what works best for you. I take mine first thing in the morning. I just switched from taking a BCP every day to taking PNV every day so it was very easy for me to remember to take them. Mine are very easy-to-swallow capsules and I have no problems with them even if I am nauseous.
I've heard some people get 'fishy burps' from some PNVs. If that's the case, I'd definitely take them with food (or look for another brand - mine has fish oil too and I've never had problems).
If you have problems remembering to take them you can try setting an alarm. MH has one wake-up alarm, then a 'medicine' alarm 45 minutes later. On days when he doesn't set his alarm because he's off from work I have to remind him or he'll forget.
I take them in the morning with breakfast. Haven't had any problems with nausea so far...hoping that continues.
I keep a bottle at home and a bottle at work in my desk, so I don't have to worry about getting too busy or forgetting. If I miss them at home (or don't eat breakfast at home that morning) I just take them when I get in to work.
