Twatwaffle Tuesday

I notice this hasn't been done for a while and since twatwaffle is one of my favorite words, why not? Ladies, who's being a twatwaffle in your life right now?!

  • Loading the player...
  • Our back neighbors refuse to bring their very barky dog indoors. They seem to leave it outside at all hours and have no regard for anyone it may be bothering when its sitting there barking at 1..2...3..4..5..A.M. I'm about one wake up away from storming back there to bang on their door. Not only am I a light sleeper but with baby growing in there it's even more difficult to get good rest.
  • Student services at my uni.... took 3 emails to get the damn form they wanted to be sent to me. Somehow I am supposed to read their minds before that.

  • Me!! I'm fully aware that I'm being a twatwaffle. :-< but my emotions are all over the place. I get mad about silly little things and then throwing tantrums. I seriously need a timeout or DH to smack some sense into me.

  • The city working who rang the doorbell JUST as DD and I fell asleep... just to put a paper in our door telling us not to park on the street tomorrow. Twatwaffle.

    3 miscarriages - 1 DS (6) - 1 DD (3)  - #3 due March 30!

  • I love my mother. I do. I have to remind myself of this very frequently. We told my parents last night we were moving to NV (closer to DH's family) and expecting pretty much exactly what we got. My mom cried. My dad was fake excited. They live in florida, so it's not like they visit often. But this is the first grandbaby so of course my mother is just so disappointed because we're "choosing sides" and "taking her baby even further away." I love my mother. But today, she's driving me nuts.
My mom is my best friend, but one of the first things she did after finding out we were expecting (after crying bc she was so happy and giving us ample congratulations) was pout just a little bit about my MIL being able to visit (we are 4 hours away from both) whenever she wants because she doesn't have to work but my mom does. I let her have her little pity party for a minute since they are very rare and she got over it. I remember from your previous post that you didn't live near them to begin with so I am sure she was a little disappointed that you weren't moving to FL closer to them. I hope she gets over it quickly and can understand why you're choosing to move to NV! Good luck with your impending move!!

  • My 2 year old is being a total twatwaffle. Lately she's decided to wake up between 4:00 and 4:30 AM. I SHOULD be getting a boost of 2nd trimester energy right about now, but instead I'm still constantly exhausted because she won't let me sleep!
  • The city working who rang the doorbell JUST as DD and I fell asleep... just to put a paper in our door telling us not to park on the street tomorrow. Twatwaffle.
I am going to get a "don't knock! Sleeping baby and protective dog!" Sign... even though he is 20lbs and very friendly....
My three year old acts like a baby sometimes.. Too soon to put a sign like that up still? lol

    3 miscarriages - 1 DS (6) - 1 DD (3)  - #3 due March 30!

  • I'm going to be the twatwaffle on this one and say that I actually get along with my MIL and love how envol

I work a lot of overnights and I act like a baby when people wake me up during the day. I think I need a sign like that for myself! Maybe a "ring that doorbell and I will cut you" sign... Too much?

You make it, I'll buy it! :D

  • Better late than never. I am visiting my family in MI and our neighbors are twatwaffles. They turn their side porch light on every night before they go to bed. It shines right in the spare room window. There are blinds and curtains and it still doesn't help. I wish I had an air soft gun or something to shoot out the light bulb...

  • @blueeyedrose86 My neighbors do this with the back patio light, which a window in my bedroom faces. We've had some windows open weather lately and were quickly reminded why we keep the blinds and curtains drawn in our bedroom. They are our nicest neighbors but SO ANNOYING!

  • Work is being a twatwaffle.  I have a Mac and it's been mandated that we go up to the latest OSX version.  My OS is very stable, thank you very much, it's been proven around here that the latest doesn't work on our network.  I'm not a happy camper.

  • :(@blueeyedrose86 and @flowerpower5838 I'm a twatwaffle neighbor. I hate the porch lights on but DH turns them back on before he goes to bed. He grew up in the city where it's a BIG no no to have all your lights off. 10years later he still hasn't adjusted to suburbia and refuses to sleep with all the outdoor lights off. I'm more than happy to make him a sacrificial lamb for you both to beat up!! Maybe then he'll turn off the lights. Haha!

  •  @blueeyedrose86 and @flowerpower5838 maybe you could ask them to adjust the angle or put a different light on?  The changed the street light in front of us and it was halogen hell... we ended up switching bedrooms.  Nursery would be on that side of the house so I will need to invest in blackout curtains.

Its a horrible orange colour.. just penetrates everything

  • If I ever see them, I might ask. Or have my mom do it. They moved in after I moved out about 5 years ago, so I have never met them.

  • My neighbor got a rooster or chicken I don't know what the heck it is but it won't shut up at 6:30-7am. I hate that thing!!

Uhhh, maybe I'm the twatwaffle, but I called the cops and humane society on my neighbor letting their dog bark from 10pm to 5am. If you didn't want a dog inside... Why'd you get a dog? It's clearly stressed the F#@k out to be left out back all night. I'm with you on light sleeping. I feel pretty murderous when something other than my own pregnant body wakes me up!
  • My mother is a twatwaffle, but thank God another baby was just born in the family... Really takes the edge off of the focus on me and my pregnancy. BUT THE ULTIMATE TWATWAFFLE AWARD GOES TO: my 19 year old cousin we took in! Talk about unnecessary stress during pregnancy. He was getting into all sorts of trouble with drugs and getting arrested so his parents called on us for help before we got pregnant. Of course we took him in. I got him clean and he is now working two jobs, but his attitude and lack of morals, sheesh! Amongst stealing our car without a drivers license because he had an under age DUI, almost setting the house on fire, and a few other dick moves... Since we found out we are having a baby the room he is staying in is gonna have to be the nursery, he knows this and has a move out date, HE'S BEEN SMOKING IN THERE! Move out date just got a hell of a lot sooner, twatwaffle!

Ugh my proncipal has been awful lately. She has always played favorites and never really liked me (I got displaced into her building). Doesn't matter how well my students do or how happy the kids and parents are, she goes out of her way to see only the bad. Today she yelled at one of my students at his locker because he was "talking" in the hall. He is a student with a disability who repeats everything he sees or hears compulsively, he can't help it. Did I mention I teach a first grade special education class. My students make great gains every year, but I am so stressed over constantly feeling inadequate (she is the queen of underhanded comments) that I have finally come to the reality that the only Thing I can do is leave the position that I love for anything that will get me out! Twatwaffle!

I do wish you luck with this and I know he's family but he's also 19. Last I checked that's a grown a** man. Maybe I'm just the cold hearted one out of my family but I'll help you in any way, shape or form I can. But you continue to be an a-hole and well, like I said, you're grown, so don't let the door hit ya too hard on the way out! ;)
ETA- I can't even handle the smell of smoke when I'm not pregnant so that would be a huge deal for me.

  • I know I'm late to the party but my baby brain is being a total twatwaffle. I take my real estate test tomorrow and I no longer have any concept of math. Did I mention I was in finance for over 5 years?! Hopefully this kid is sucking all my math brain cells and will be a mathematical genius!

  • Lol my Twatwaffle award goes to the same person each week- the upstairs neighbor's girlfriend who moved in.  And guess what we nicknamed her?  TWATWAFFLE.  Every time we talk to her bf about them blocking the driveway so we can't get out, he apologizes and agrees to help make sure the driveway is clear- especially when the time comes for me to go into labor. The next day?  His twatwaffle girlfriend has parked her car at the end of the driveway again, instead of in her parking spot, so we can't get out.  She is too effin LAZY to walk from the back of the house where the parking is to the front door.  And whenever we go up and say something, she rolls her eyes at us.  B!tch next time I will take my jeep and tow your damn car into the middle of the street! It is not a hard concept to grasp!

  • OK, though an inanimate object, my twatwaffle award goes to my new bathroom at work. They just renovated it (which sounds awesome, and is in some ways) but they put in sinks and soap dispensers with sensors and they don't work AT ALL. I end up standing there with my damned hands under the sink for a full minute before the water comes on, and then it shuts right off again right away. GRRRR. With the number of trips to the bathroom each day, I'm really getting frustrated. I think it's some vast social experiment (that I'm failing).

I don't know where the sensors are on your faucet, but I learned a hack online; our walmart has the automatic faucets and let's face it- they all suck!  Once you get the water on, wet a small corner of paper town and stick it to the sensor- the water dripping through the paper towel is usually enough motion to keep the water running :)

  • I'm a day late on this but this lady I work with has just been driving me freaking crazy. She can't be bothered to go back and read emails that I've previously sent regarding the process for how jobs are submitted to my team. She is a freaking Director for pete's sake and can't handle reading an email. It is so frustrating to have to continue to tell this woman over and over and over and over what she should be doing. Granted our company doesn't provide the greatest of training but I went out of my way to create a flow chart for her to reference and SHE STILL EMAILS ME WITH THE SAME QUESTIONS. I've now just started to attach my previous emails when she asks me the same questions I've already answered 10+ times, it's seriously ridiculous. Rant over.

This is when the good old fashioned passive aggressive email forward (with see below) come in handy. Or if you're really annoyed, no text at all.

  • Can it be twatwaffle Thursday?  If so, my award goes to my also pregnant friend that is 6 weeks ahead of me and "knows everything" about pregnancy and parenthood.  We are both FTM's so I have a really hard time swallowing all her BS plus she has a major "better than you" attitude right now that I just want to smack out of her.  I realize it could be the combating hormones more than anything, but seriously, twatwaffle for days!!!!!!
  • Here's my Twatwaffle of the week....My husband has a brother and he has a girlfriend (the twat in question). Today we found out we are having a little girl so I obviously told family and close friends first. I included her in this information. This B I you know what went and posted on Facebook that we were having a girl. After I asked her to take it down because we hadn't announced and weren't done telling people, she had my husbands boyfriend text me and tell me I should have been specific and told her not to post yet.....okay sure. Good thing I am in an excelent mood or I would have killed them both.
