I'm going to the chiropractor for mine. It was awful with DS.

I have a bulging disc in my lower back and found a great YouTube video with safe stretches that I do a couple times a day to relieve the pain. It's called "Herniated Disc and Pregnancy" by Back Pain Key. I highly recommend trying it.
I've been having on and off brown spotting (only when I wipe, not anything warranting even a liner) for the past week, but today it's pretty much every time I use the bathroom. I'm trying not to panic because I keep hearing on the boards that brown = old blood and not to worry unless it's red and accompanied by painful cramps, but I'm still panicking a bit. I didn't have any spotting at all with DS and every search I conduct ends with the poster having a miscarriage. I have an ultrasound on Wednesday, so I'll guess we'll find out if everything is fine then. Sigh.
Ok, anyone get a cold yet? I mean a full fledged congestion, sore throat, phlegmy cold? I just got one yesterday and had a miserable night of no sleep (and not breathing). I did a little bit of research and saw cold meds aren't really safe right now. I have no idea what I should try and i am dreading another night of no sleep. What has helped you ladies that have dealt with this? Thanks in advance!
I had strep the week before last. It was torture. They could give me an antibiotic to deal with the infection, but nothing for the symptoms. They suggested gargling really salty water, nasal irrigation with a neti pot and warm compresses around my neck. I also slept with my head and chest elevated. It took a little longer that usual to get over, but I was better in about 4 days.
My nausea started at about 7 weeks and has been all day sickness ever since. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and for the past few days I feel like the ms is getting worse. I never vomit, just feel super queasy all day. This is my first time, anyone have their ms get worse and then better? I'm hoping it will calm down in the next few weeks.
I have a problem. I hate the smell of my house. Ever since I got pregnant I have not been able to enter my house without vomiting imminently, I'm not kidding. I feel bad, but I can't live like this. I want to tell my husband I want to move out but that's ridiculous. I have used sprays, candles, carpet cleaners, and washing everything but the stink is still there. I don't know what to do.
@KDHB13 thinking of you. I know it's so much harder to not think the worst when it's you going through it. Try to rest and drink as much water as possible. Hopefully Wednesday gets here quickly!
Thanks @littlesocks I ended up calling and speaking to an on call doctor and she said it sounds like nothing to worry about. She mentioned that at 11-12 weeks the placenta is growing a lot and really "digging in" (her words), so it could just be that. After I called, I remembered the my SIL has spotting with both of her pregnancies due to a low-lying placenta and my mom squad friends all made me feel better by telling me about their friends who dealt with spotting as well. So, fingers crossed til Wednesday!
Is anyone having food aversions so badly nothing sounds or tastes good? I'm almost 8 weeks and have had morning sickness to the point of vomiting several times a day. I'm taking Zofran once a day to get through work and it's making me constipated which isn't helping my stomach feel better. I hope my prenatals are enough right now because I know I'm not eating great right now.
Maybe this is TMI but my constipation has turned into all day diarrhea. It has me a little worried and it's very uncomfortable (not sure which is worse because the constipation was so annoying!)
I have had some very mild cramping I wasn't sure if it was cramps or constipation. I was feeling it happen a few times throughout the day but is milder than period cramps and seems to feel like transverse lower abdominal diffuse cramps more than ovary areas. Does this sound normal?
@msciann- I am the same way 11 weeks today and I am feeling way worse . I am throwing up all day and night . But call Dr. They can prescribe meds. I am hoping to find one that works for me. I have already tried two. Feel better !
I really thought the all day nausea was settling out a bit after the lovely, sick free weekend I had.. NOPE. It returned this morning accompanied with vomiting and made me an hour late for work. Not amused.
@mrsmonnig ughhh! I had that problem with my refrigerator during my first pregnancy. I don't know what the weather's like where you are, but can you leave the windows open? That may help get some fresh air in. If it's any consolation, it will probably get better as you get further along.
@melliemamma I ate SO many tums during my first pregnancy, not even funny!

@allicatsandog sorry mama :-( DOn't worry too much about WHAT you're eating for now... eat whatever you can keep down and be sure you are staying hydrated. You can eat more healthy foods when you start feeling better, baby will be fine! If you feel like you're not able to keep anything down, especially liquids, call your doctor right away. Hope you're feeling better soon!

@smedearis I was told mild cramping is normal. I had pretty painful period like cramps during week four, along with abdominal pains from everything moving or growing or whatever is going on, haha. I would say not to worry too if it's mild, but definitely run it past your doctor just so they know. Now I just have round ligament pain every time I cough or move too quickly.
Hey y'all, so it's not my symptoms that are concerning... It's my lack of symptoms. I'm almost 12 weeks and haven't had morning sickness, cramping, bowel problems, or even fatigue. I'm definitely more hungry than usual but that's all. I had my first ultrasound about a month ago and everything was fine but I'm just wondering if there is anyone else out there that isn't having symptoms?
I am almost 9 weeks and I have had little to no symptoms the past couple of weeks ( I guess maybe a little more tired, but who isnt!). It is very worrisome especially when reading about everyone else's symptoms. I haven't had an ultrasound yet and probably won't for another few weeks .
I don't have many symptoms either. My only major symptom is extreme hunger. I have had constipation but I have IBS, and I have been really tired but I have been tired for years. I'm not too worried about the lack of symptoms though; not everyone gets bad pregnancy symptoms. I had an ultrasound and everything was fine.
I was ravenous from literally the day after conception. Obv didn't know why, but then a few weeks later my boobs started to get huge and sore but then I thought they were just growing because I was eating so much ... Ate non stop for 4 weeks and since then I don't want to eat anything and when I do get hungry I'm full soooo fast. Really bizarre ! Oh and fatigue. So. Tired. Naps are 4 hours on the weekend and durong the week it's in bed before 8. Well it's 7 now lol
Anyone feel like their blood sugar is out of wack? After I eat I get shaky, my heart races, and I get dizzy. Sometimes I have to lay down because I feel like I could pass out. This happened pre-pregnancy, too. Maybe it's blood pressure. Who knows.
Yes, kyleec89, I was so dizzy/nauseous and shaking this morning I had to leave work (dangit- I'm trying to save my sick days!) could not figure out what was different. Stayed in bed for four hours and now I've got painful gas/burping/flatulence. I haven't eaten much or different than usual so I can only give it up to those lovely "hormones". First pregnancy they did a heart ultrasound because I'd have irregular heart flutters. Never found anything, but I'd see stars and feel winded.

@cerav Consider yourself lucky! If you saw the heartbeat on an ultrasound your chances of miscarrying are VERY low, and a lack of strong symptoms doesn't indicate a bad outcome. Honestly, many of the bad symptoms let up around 13-15 weeks for many people, so I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't get any bad ones (at least until the very end!)

@allicatsandog I have not actually vomited yet (touch wood) but I totally get that feeling. I'm hungry but nothing appetises me. I think about making some favourite meals but get nauseous at the thought of them. Very weird. I've started consciously trying to drink a lot more water and it actually helps. Hope it passes for us soon! My poor hubby us starving because I've stopped cooking anything!
@Muggle lover Have you tried a Neti pot? It won't cure the cold, but it will help a TON with congestion and clearing sinuses. It's totally safe and natural, if not a little gross. It's also very cheap. Hope you feel better soon!
I spoke entirely too soon. I was feeling fine, no nausea, nothing too bad... But as soon as week 8 started BAM! So did the all day nausea. I haven't actually thrown up yet but I'm just nauseous ALL DAY. Even when I'm sleeping, I'll wake up in the middle of the night nauseous.
Also, not sure if this is a symptom, but has anyone experienced a "roller coaster" feeling in their stomach at random times during the day? It's that kind of free falling feeling... It happens to me very randomly and very unexpectedly. Is that normal?
Some days I feel so sick and then on days when I feel okay I get worried! Lol
I've had days like those too. Stared when I hit 7 weeks. After spending two weeks with bad ms I have found that everyday this week has been different. Somedays I have mild nausea, some heartburn & others seem ok. Really nervous of what is going on so moved dr appointment up.
I may get flamed for this, but I'm curious, so I'm going to ask anyway. I'm 10 weeks 6 days and exactly at 10 weeks I was rubbing my stomach and I felt a rock hard lump really really low on my stomach, right above my, ahem, lady parts. It was very small, but has since grown bigger and has never gone away, though it's still small. It's different than the normal "bloat" I've had. It's almost like there are 2 bumps. My bloat and then just below it this hard-ish knot. I *think* it's the start of a real bump. Am I right? Otherwise, I need to be concerned about this lump! I'm not "showing" per se but my husband and I can both feel it. Anyone else? I don't remember this at all with my first pregnancy so I'm really curious!

i feel awful today. Bathroom breaks are becoming ridiculous this week. my tummy feels so yucky and i dont want to eat anything. i am forcing crackers and cheap soup down... for breakfast i had dry toast. uhhg. i dont want to get dehydrated so im drinking lots of water but even that is tiresome... and im pretty exhausted. i wish i could just be home in bed.
I wish I was home too! This is really difficult lately. My sense of smell is so crazy that I dry heave every time I leave my office because of the microwave, perfume, and "normal" smells in the building. Gah.

Probably. It's new this week, so maybe uterus as it grows larger. I feel like with my last pregnancy there was just a baby bump one day. This is new and weird and much earlier than I remember seeing anything last time. Seriously, no one else is feeling this?
