Sorry if I'm stepping on someone's toes by starting this weekly thread...I haven't seen it yet today and I really need to bitch. It can't wait.

My SIL made me so mad yesterday and I just can't get over it. She is very judgemental in everyday life, but this was too much for me. She asked if I was going to breastfeed directly from the boob, exclusively pump and feed, or go the formula route. I said I was planning on breastfeeding straight from the source. She then follows up with, "Wow, your boobs are going to be destroyed after that. They'll be so saggy and deflated..."
WTF?! Thanks for the support, SIL. I was so stunned that I had no response. Don't be surprised if I name her as twatwaffle of the week tomorrow. I'm so annoyed.

I made chili today. I was dicing a couple jalapeños. I thought I was being careful, I didn't even touch my face, or anything but the knife and peppers. Before I know it under my nose starts to burn. Then my lips. In under 5 minutes my entire face is red and puffy, I'm in tears and my face felt like it was on fire. I'm a chef and I have never experienced that before. It was awful

I have been trying to sign up for free stuff online and when filling out the survey it asks for baby due date. only problem is it doesn't go to 2016!!!! This has happened on more then one occasion...talk about insta-pissed.

My doctor was feeling sick and went home early, so my appointment today was rescheduled for next week. I was able to get my ultrasound with the tech, which is all I cared about anyway, but I have SO few days off (teacher, scheduling all my appts on holidays off whenever possible) and REALLY do not feel like spending Yom Kippur at an appointment, but since he was sick I can't really be angry about it, which of course makes me angrier, because I like having someone to blame for things, haha.

What isn't pissing me off today is a better question..
Seriously. Mainly DH is pissing me off.
Past half hour he's been giving attitude so I've been giving it back.
We're discussing making a trip home in October, because my dad was just diagnosed with cancer and I want to be there for his surgery. So I said "this trip isn't like any other trips. It's not about friends or whose family we are going to see. It's about my dad. This trip is all about me dad, I want to make sure my dad is ok before we make any other plans to do anything."
He came back with "we don't even know if leave will get accepted. I don't want to spend all my leave dates. Two weeks at most".
(He's military. So we have to ask to take vacation, aka leave. They can deny us leave too).

Like instead of being supportive, and comforting me because my dad. He came back with that response?!
Ugh. I'm probably blowing this way outta proportion. Making it sound way worse than what he meant. But damn it, I'm so fricken pissed off.

Just got a $140 parking ticket after a $50 one last week. Pregnancy brain is going to cost me a small fortune (or at least a strollers-worth) before this little one gets here!

My bitch is SO's mom. He finally told her today after my u/s that we are expecting. Her response? "Are you serious? Why would you do that? Don't you know what condoms are? And you need to tell GAgiSD (me) to exercise, she's getting fat." She's a horrible person. His dad is worse. None of his family is excited. Yeah, it's my 5th baby, but only his second, and the only girl grandchild. He's so hurt.

After that, I told him to call *my* mom, b/c I knew she'd give him the reaction he wanted. He was on the phone with her for 30 minutes just talking baby stuff. Much better.

And I need to bitch about my bladder. I've snissed twice today. Once in my bed (time to rewash the freshly washed sheets) and once in the car. Thank god I had an extra pair of pants with me. Stupid bladder. Get your shit together.

My DH has 3 brothers, two are married with kids the other isn't. Our family has been adding a new grandkid every 6-9 months the past couple of years and we all live within 15-20 minutes of each other. My MIL loves family photos (as do I) and is nice enough to pay for a large family photo session each year, and we get to take individual family pics with it too. Usually we do something simple for wardrobe, this year we were gonna do jeans, black, grey and red. Well, she texted me so upset and wanting to cancel this morning (I usually help her arrange it all) because my two BILs and their wives are so inconvenienced by having to spend 2 hours taking family photos that they had been bitching to her all morning. Lots of "we took photos last year" "I don't want to have a dress code for a picture" "just photoshop the new baby into the picture" etc. I just don't understand how they can be so ungrateful. It's a free gift to us to have photos of our individual families and our whole family, and my MIL usually treats us all to dinner afterwards. My DH just took over and messaged everyone saying he was gonna hire the photographer and still do photos whether everyone came or not.

Maybe I'm just not seeing their side of it, but I was so mad at them all today!

This weekend my mom texted me and said she bought her plane tickets to come see the baby at the end of February. (She lives on the opposite end of the country). Oooohkay..thanks for asking me if those dates were ok. Then I ask her if she's coming alone or bringing my 18 year old brother. She responds: "Oh it will be me and my boyfriend." I was so pissed when I read that! First, they have only been dating for one month so who knows if they will still be together by February . Second, she didn't even ask me if I was comfortable with that! DH and I are definitely not ok having some stranger stay at our house, especially with a new baby. I simply texted her back that I wasn't comfortable with that and I would call her later. 2 days and still no response from her and she won't answer my calls! Ugh!

We aren't telling SO's dad, either. The last time SO talked to him, FIL said, "I'd love to see you whenever I can, but I'd rather never see GAgirl again." SO told him that was fine, but it meant he wouldn't be seeing either of us. So, he can just hear the news through the grapevine.

I'm not one to usually bitch but this went too far. Expecting our first we told all 6 parents in person (both of us are children of divorced/remarried parents) 4/6 were thrilled. The other 2 not only told us we were making a HUGE mistake (and to consider medical intervention) but tried to convince my bf that he should dump me if I refused (for the record yes it's his). Then-THEN they had the balls to drop off 2 car seats for us! They won't acknowledge or accept this baby as a grandchild (their first btw) but will drop off 2 5+ year old car seats?!? Am I missing something?

I totally lost it on a coworker today. I work at a university, so most of the pedestrians we see are late teens/early 20s. A girl walked past us at lunch wearing shorts and a long sweater. The shorts were standard shorts by way of a 20-year-old. I didn't see butt cheeks or underwear, and while I wouldn't wear them, I didn't think they were inappropriate. (This isn't the point of the story, anyway.) Her sweater was long enough that you couldn't always see the shorts, and so it looked like she just had on a sweater.

My coworker says, "And they wonder why they get raped."

WHAAAATTTTT??????

I usually bite my tongue, because most of the women I work with are older, but I just lost my mind, ladies.

Everything from, "How about teach your sons to have some self-control," and "How about don't rape," to just sputtering in outrage.

I don't know if it's because I live in a conservative area, or if it's because I work with mostly older women, or what, but I can't tolerate what I consider to be absolute ignorance.

Wow, @stephanienjer I can't believe your coworker said that! Especially a woman! I would have gone nuts too. I don't care if the girl is walking around naked, it is never the victim's fault for getting raped.
