I did search for this ahead of time, so if it has been discussed recently I apologize, but I'm used to single baby pregnancies. I'm 20 weeks this week and am curious about how often I should expect to see my ob now and how many ultrasounds I'll have now. I see my OB on Tuesday and know I can get answers from her too, but I'm stressing and in planning mode now.
I had 3 previous uneventful healthy pregnancies so my OB really didn't treat my twin pregnancy any different than normal. I saw her once a month until 30 weeks. Then it was 32, 34, 36, 37, 38 weeks. But she did have me see a perinatalogist once a month for growth scans starting at 20 weeks. I'm having non-stress tests done at 36 & 37 weeks and my induction is scheduled for 38 weeks 2 days. I'm currently 36 weeks But from talking to other moms there can be a LOT of variation from doctor to doctor and where you live and your own history!
This is my first pregnancy. I was seen by my OB monthly until 30 weeks, then every 2 weeks (I'll be 34 weeks on Tuesday & will find out then if they're going to make my visits more frequent now). I also had ultrasounds every 4 weeks but at my 32 week, they asked to see me back in 3 weeks.

Ya my schedule wasn't much different than a singleton I don't think at least for the first little while. Once a month up until 28 weeks, then every two weeks until 34-35. But my pregnancy was so uneventful that they didn't need to see me every week after like 35-36 weeks. I did get sent to a specialist for my anatomy ultrasound at 19 weeks and they wanted to check my cervix every two weeks until 25 weeks, but other than that just regular appointments. They do more growth scans than normal singletons to make sure they are growing the same rate and things. And sometimes they do more nonstress tests toward the end but I never had one. It may just depend on your doctor too!
I'm 29 weeks and my schedule was monthly 8-28 weeks now it's every two weeks until they tell me otherwise. I also have growth scans at each appointment due to a history of huge babies.
It will differ greatly if they're mo-di vs di-di. Mine are mo-di so sharing a placenta and after my first visit I've been seen every other week with an ultrasound each time. I'm guessing if you're already 20 weeks they're di-di if you haven't had bi-weekly appts. Did they tell you?
I think it varies with different OB'S and whether or not everything's well with you. I've been seeing my current OB bi-weekly every since I changed from my previous OB at 14wks.
I just had my 34 week appt yesterday. I will now be seen weekly until my c section at 38w2d. I will also have twice weekly non stress tests & weekly ultrasounds.

I'm having mono-di twins. Up to 20 weeks it was the same schedule as a singleton, but starting at 20 weeks I go every 2 weeks to see a perinatologist. They monitor the growth of the mono-di twins closely since they're sharing a placenta and could develop things like TTTS. I'm not sure at what point I will start going weekly, guess that depends how the scans look.

My twins are also mono-di. I'm following the same schedule, at 24 weeks I have started going every week for scans. I alternate between my regular OB and my peri. The OB scans are much quicker - they measure things like the fluid, check my cervix, etc. The peri scans take a little longer and are more detailed - they look at things like growth, blood flow, and everything else! It seems like so many appointments but it is comforting to know that a team of doctors are monitoring them closely.
I'm having triplets so a little different. I've been seen at 7, 10, 12, 14, 16 and it will likely be weekly after 16 weeks. Possibly every other. Those are all with the peri. OB will be monthly.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
