Heartburn!! Help!!

I've had heartburn for the 2nd day in a row and this time I can't seem to get rid of it. I've tried tums, rolaids and milk and nothing seems to be helping. It's getting to the point I feel like I have acid coming up my throat. I have had some people suggest water but that seems to make it worse.

Any suggestions are welcomed!!

Ranitidine has saved me!!! I take 1 75mg in am and 1 in pm. Even then I get break through Dragon throat. But sooooovmuch easier to deal with. Make sure to bring tums to hospital if u deal with indegestion regularly. They only gave me 1 tums while in labor and said I hate to wait for another. Hard to push with that ball of fire creeping up!

Personally I prefer not to jump to medicine without try natural resources. For me I use apples , ice cream, apple cider vinegar, or pickles (my fav). Different things work on different days. Some days. Just laying in my left side with a few pillows under my head helps. Water will make it worse for sure.

Drugs didn't work for me either. However. Oddly enough. Ice cream has saved the day. I get it bad to the point where my sinuses start burning in my ears.

Milk actually can make it worse. My doctor prescribed me Rantidine today to take 2 times a day and said within 3 days I would see results. I've heard great things.
