Our house is currently undergoing a huge renovation and we are going to be displaced for about a month, livining in extended stay lodging, which is ok with me, but I am stressed out because the contractors have already pushed back the job so much, was supposed to start July 7th, then pushed back to August 7th, then pushed back again and finally starting this week. I have this fear we are going to be dealing with alot of weather delays and it will still be a mess when our little one arrives. On top of that, my DH is very grumpy about it all but we are too far into everything to turn back now. I am hoping that I'm just over thinking this, these pregnancy hormones are all over the place right now. All of these new changes are a little overwhelming at times.
My sister went through a phase with making bento lunches for my niece. She was a little obsessed. My niece finally decided she liked eating school lunches better.
I will say though that I'd probably eat more carrots it they're shaped like flowers.
I live on a pond and we have several flocks of wild geese that hang around. One of the flocks has a somehow picked up a white farm goose. I read around and I don't think farm geese can fly. I'm worried about what is going to happen to it when the rest of the flock flies off for winter. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe I should call the humane society or approach a local farmer. Or is it possible that the goose could fly south with the rest of them this fall?
In away I feel like Pinterest makes things less creative. My mom used to cut cheese etc into cute shapes for us. Now if someone does something it's like "thanks Pinterest" and it just seems like people are doing it to AW on Facebook or Instagram. I miss when creativity was your own and it wasn't just people trying to out Pinterest each other!

I had ritz crackers in bed this morning Bc of all day sickness and then DH brought DS in (wander husband watched him instead of gym so I could sleep a little extra) DS asked for a "cacka" and then crumbled it al over the sheets. I did a feeble job wiping it and now I am laying in tiny ritz crumbs. So annoying.

I'm gonna kill someone if no one shoes up to appraise my house today. My realtor texted me late last night asking if it would be ok for the appraiser to swing by super quickly (like 15 min) around 1:15/1:30ish. DS naps at that time and is a super light super, but she assured me the appraiser would be quick and quiet. It's 1:30 and no one is here. I just spent an hour tidying my house and mentally preparing myself to try to keep the dog quiet so he doesn't wake DS. WTF?!?!
Update: he showed up a few minutes late and DS woke up the second he walked up the stairs. Cut his nap short by 45 min. Awesome. I knew I should have said no to our realtor. And I won't even get a break at bedtime when DH is home. DS has been freaking out and only wants mommy at bedtime now. I need a break!!

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. We bought a house in Dec and started demoing our master bath right away...and it's just getting tiled this week. SO currently we have no master bath or kitchen and it's been like this since January. At least lo is a good reason to speed things up!
One of my coworkers took the year off this year because she was due in October with twins. She had her babies last week, at 33/34 weeks, and today at lunch, one of my other coworkers had the audacity to say "I can't believe nobody's got any pictures of X's babies yet, it's been a week!"
I was annoyed by this (still am, obviously). Obviously X has had bigger things to be concerned with, like her hospital stay, and recovering from major surgery (emergency c-section), and her babies in the NICU, and sharing pictures and updates with her family. I mean damn, it's only been a week, let the girl get some rest!
I'll never understand how it's possible to end up on the show " I didn't know I was pregnant ". Even with only a few symptoms how can you not know you are KU.

I could sort of get it up to a certain point, after having experienced no belly for so long with ds. I didn't show until really late (like 3rd tri), and didn't feel distinct movement until 20 something weeks. Plus I'm relatively thin (ish lol), so if I was a fluffy girl maybe I wouldn't have shown til even later or felt movement yet. Yes I felt like hell first tri but if I was young and dumb who knows? Maybe I would have just thought I had a stomach bug? But after a certain point, how do you not know? I feel like I need to find a pic to properly explain but I don't have my belly pics on my phone any more. So the real question is how lazy am I lol.

Honestly no, my period has been so irregular for so much of my life. My cycle changes constantly even when I was on BC. At one point it was every 21 days, then it was just normal ish with variation. Then I would go months without a period, and at two points I had 6-8 weeks of constant bleeding (it was probably polyps or fibroids or something benign that cleared up on its own). So at first I wouldn't notice but after a few months I would.
Also disclaimer: I would never actually be one of these ladies, since I'm not an idiot lol! I just believe them a little more after having experienced no belly for so long. I remember not believing my mom when she told me that at 20 weeks she was in a bikini on the beach and people didn't believe she was pregnant, but now I get it.

My MIL works at an OB office and they had one last week she was 23 weeks when she found out. There was no baby belly and the most she had gained was 5lb in those 6 months. The lady said she didn't notice her period being missing because she only has about 2-4 a year and they are so irregular. If I remember correctly my MIL said she was in her late 20s

I feel like if I was only having a few periods a year and was sexually active, I would hope a doctor would recommend I just stock up on the dollar store tests and POAS every few months.

@ashleymarie1027 I have a Facebook page that I sell from. I do mostly baby/children's stuff but do some adult stuff too (hats/comfort colors, bags, I even did a yoga mat once!). I also just a found a supplier that has cute market tote and casserole covers etc. I prefer the baby/children's stuff though Bc it's more creative. DS is in preschool twice a week now so I can actually devote time to growing. Of course being pregnant as soon as he started has hindered too much growth lol. Damn first tri.

@NachosAndPeaches pre-baby I was mostly into quilting, but since baby I've gotten into using my embroidery machine (I'm lucky to have a mom who is VERY talented and into sewing who gifted me a machine when she bought herself a new one). Pre baby I thought embroidery was lame, and now I want to embellish everything!! I just wish I had more time. I'm currently trying to talk myself into making DS a Halloween costume... We'll see

I work in an ob office and we have never had that happen. Tampons left in for weeks tho.... Yeah that happens a few times a year. I have some crazy stories to say the least

My cousin didn't know. She gave birth to a special needs child and was very depressed afterward because her daughter's needs were a surprise. She went to her doctor for more help with the depression when her daughter was around 8 months old and found out she was pregnant. She thought her pregnancy symptoms were postpartum and depression related and she was nursing so no period was not a concern. She gave birth to her son about 3 weeks after finding out she was even expecting, he was born at 28 weeks. Both kids are healthy & thriving now. I usually think those stories are pretty crazy, but in her situation I can absolutely understand not knowing.

That's how SIL and I were with DD - we told my ILs they were going to be grandparents again (nephew was 1.5) and my SFIL said "oh they told you?" Umm... No... ) DD and our niece are 6 weeks apart
That's awesome! My sister in law that was due last is MIL's daughter (me and other sil are DIL), so she's obviously closest. Well to announce she made a little image of first SIL with a number 8 (8th grad child) on her belly, a 9 on me, and then a 10 on her belly.

UGH I totally feel your pain! We started looking for a contractor in February and found one and signed a contract THIS WEEK! FML! It's also a big reno (relocating the kitchen a floor below and adding on 10 feet off the back on two floors) but we are going to try and live there mostly sans kitchen for a while. I'm glad we finally have a contractor but now i'm getting nervous it won't be closed up before the shitty cold weather gets here!!!
@Lilpenguin3@dayzchic9 very stressful! We are doing a complete renovation of an old farmhouse that was built in 1910. One of the contractors is digging a new basement and the the house is being picked up and moved onto it. During the house moving process is when we will be displaced due to all new plumbing and electrical being installed. We are worried about weather delays pushing this job back and the first freeze right around the corner is going to get us stuck in a bad spot. I wish we had a crew that could magically finish the house in one week like that Extreme Makeover show that used to be on TV.
I'm participating in a research study through the local university on diet and exercise in pregnancy and as much as I know it would be healthier for me... I really hope I get put in the control group and don't have to stop being lazy. I guess I'll find out on Monday.
@mrstrax I worked at a camp that had a goose problem. The flock picked up a domestic goose. She seemed to stick with them year after year so I think it will be ok.

I didn't find out until I was 26 weeks with my first. I am one of those people.
And while I have a few more symptoms this time around, I wonder how much of it is because I know...?
