ouch :(

Earlier this year I got in an aweful car accident. My body wasn't even close to being healed when I got pregnant so I've been dealing with alot of pains due to both. This weekend I went to the fair and ended up with a crazy sharp pain in my leg going down into my foot. Its been three days now and I still am having a hard time walking. Ive soaked it in the hot tub, and my husband has tried to rub it out. Has anyone else dealt with this or is it something wreck related? And if it is normal how do you stop it. I need to be able to function. Haha :)

Sounds like it could be sciatic nerve pain...I haven't experienced it during pregnancy so the only relief I've ever found is muscle relaxers and pain meds (obviously both not good during pregnancy) but I think there have been other posts related to sciatica if you search for it! Good luck :)

  • Physiotherapy
  • It does sound like sciatic nerve, but I would still call a Dr. They could recommend something to help relieve it.

I didn't have that, but I had cracked a rib a few months before my second pregnancy. It wasn't healed completely either when I got pregnant. Baby loved kicking that rib too. I hope you feel better soon
  • I would call your doctor just to rule out a clot (I am sure that is very very unlikely, but just to be on the safe side).

This. This is super important to diagnose early if it is in fact the issue.

  • Sorry you are experiencing this , sounds more like a disc problem in your low back vs true sciatica. I would make an appointment with your doctor to get evaluated. Ice and using a pillow between your knees at night could help keep you more comfortable.
    Good luck !
