I met my BFF when we were 5. My mom hired her mom to babysit me and my sister after school. The first day, I accidentally broke one of her toys, so she wasn't too fond of me, but we quickly bonded after that. We drifted apart for some time in high school; she stayed on the straight and narrow, and I did a lot of bad things. We reconnected the summer after my first year of university, and it was like no time had passed. Now I've moved back home and got a job at the same clinic as her, so we get to be co-workers too. We were bridesmaids in each other's weddings. She just had a baby girl on Sunday. She's the funniest, kindest person I know.
Funnest thing we've ever done? Went on a spontaneous road trip one weekend, and everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. We laughed until we cried, and ended up having a great time.
I met mine in preschool when we were 3. We both turned 30 this year and have been saying "From 3 to 30!", ok maybe that's more of a not funny but inside joke... Anyways, we went to preschool, grade school, high school, undergrad but one year and one quarter together. I met my DH through her and she met hers through mine. We have lead oddly parallel lives. Until I moved 2.5 years ago we lived in walking distance for our whole lives minus college. It has been hard not having her so close, but we talk all the time. In retrospect it may have been into the first year of marriage when I actually loved my DH more.
I had just moved to CT in the middle of my 5th grade school year and this girl ran up to me after the teacher introduced me and said "I'll be your friend!" That was 16 years ago and she is still my #1! Some of our best times together was planning her epic haunted house Halloween parties or just just hanging out in my house drinking and being silly!!
umm i'm not quite sure when exactly it was in high school probably freshman year we were in band together. So that would make it about 15 years now. We went to Europe with a large group of high school musicians and played concerts in 6 countries. She lives hours away now but we still talk and see each other at least every other month.
I feel the same way. I have friends but no one I'm exceptionally close with anymore. My best friends growing up and I now have different priorities, lost shared interests etc. It's hard finding new friends as a grown up!
Of course we can!!! I feel like I'm the only one of my friends who feels like they are missing apart of their life and want to start a family.... It's so lonely
She was sitting at the end of the lunch table and I thought she looked sad. I wanted to make her smile and talk to her. So I went over and asked her if she needed a friend. She was very hesitant, but I told her I would be her friend if she wanted one. We've been inseparable ever since. Almost 24 years of being besties. :-D :x
JH choir and then a year later we showed up to the same church youth group. Now we work together 15+ years later I really am blessed when I think about it...

TTC since August 2013 - Break: Jan-June 2014
Everything looks good on me so far. Going in for U/S in Oct just to be absolutely sure everything is good. SA for DH pending.
My "sister" and I have been best friends since kindergarden. Being only 26. I seems odd to say I've known her for over 20 years. She has been my rock in hard times. Unfortunately we don't get to talk as often as we'd like. We live several hours apart. I couldn't imagine picking just one fun adventure, but it's sure been a heck of a ride.
We met in 8th grade, we had some classes together. She called me on the phone and I thought it was my other friend so I started talking about my BFF (not in a bad way) and she goes wait this is "Angela" haha sorry girl! Been best friends ever since.

My BFF and I met when she came to my school halfway through eighth grade. She was really bullied in public school and we hit it off right away. She was my MOH. She just moved to Texas and I could cry every time I remember (I'm in CA).
We've done road trips, driven hours to meet each other halfway just to shop together, and many crazy things. Now I need to muster the balls to fly solo (never done it and terrified of flying) to go see her.
Middle school cheerleading squad. She knows that I default to angry feelings and negative thoughts and never makes me feel badly about it... I know she defaults to awkwardness and flight mode. She's my person.
