  This is why we have a Costco membership. It doesn't really slow down until 18-24 months when they learn how to hold it.
  
  Tip: Slather on Desitin before bedtime to give an extra layer of protection before bed, then you dont have to change diapers in the middle of the night unless it is super full and keeping the baby awake

  I don't remember it *slowing* down until around 8ish months. Even then though, diapers and wipes are still a big part of the budget. It's just something you need no matter what.

  Actually a pack in one week isn't bad. I just went through a box of newborn diapers in 4 days. It just becomes part of the budget like PP said. We are going through what feels like 10 diapers a day.

  I'd go through less if Patrick would stop piggy backing dirty diapers! I go to change a poop and he pees just as I put the new one on. I change it again, he poops. He loves to frustrate his mommy...

  It never slows down! Once you're not buying diapers and wipes every week it's something else! Shoes, clothes, new toys, etc because they literally outgrew everything overnight! Or it's little gym, swim lessons, play groups, preschool!

  I always buy in bulk! I'm actually in the process of switching my newborns (he never was in newborns) to size one. It seems he will be in size ones for a little while. I haven't bought diapers yet.

  We are FLYING through them. DS gets upset pretty much immediately if he's wet and awake. And he often poops and gets upset so we change him... he them poops or pees right away in the new one. Aghhh.

  We've cut down how many we are using by a LOT because DS is finally big enough to fit some of his cloth diapers. We were going through about 10 diapers a day, maybe 12, now we are doing about 5 and using less and less. Once he gets a little bigger, he can sleep in his cloth diapers but for now his legs are too skinny and they leak a little when he's laying down.
