Remember it's only a prediction. It doesn't mean that is the exact weight. My friend was told the baby was 6 pounds the week she went into labor. The baby came out 10
I have my growth scan next week, I can't wait to get a better picture of how big baby is, from what I've heard 3.23lb sounds perfect to me, my friend just had a growth scan at 29 weeks and was told her baby was around 2.11lb.
Same here, I was told I would not have another US unless there are signs for concern. A relief but I kind of wanted to see how baby is doing before I give birth but again, just glad there are no concerns.
My midwives asked that I get a 32-week scan because my husband and I were both very large babies. From what I've read though, it seems the weight estimates they give aren't really accurate anyway. I'm nervous that having the scan will lead the midwives to think (rightly or wrongly) that the baby is big and that they'll encourage me to have a c-section. But I can't pass up the chance to see how he's doing in there! We'll see...
I had my growth scan yesterday and she is estimated at 4.1 lbs. take the "estimations" as just that...estimations. My first pregnancy they told me my son was 9 lbs. he was born at 6lb8oz
I had US at 29 wks and they said about 3 lbs and she is measuring in the 48-52 percentile. So right on average. They are worried about growth restriction so they are keeping an eye on her size. So 3 lbs sounds right. But i think it is a guess based on length and other things.
At my last appt (28.5wks), baby is measuring big. He has been for about 2 months. My OB said baby is in the 97th or higher percentile. He was weighing about 4.5lbs.
I went in through ER, then L&D for a complication last week. The radiologist peeked at baby while checking my organs and she even said baby looked big. lol
I'm now 31wks and 3 days. I go back in to the doctor a week from today. We'll see what she says then. I'm not too concerned.
My doc is sending me for another ultrasound at 32 weeks to check babies growth. I was measuring small, but I just had my 28 week and he is back in track. She still wants to have it done as I didn't find out I was pregnant until 18 weeks, so my due date could be off. My son was a big baby and she wants to be sure this one is growing appropriately, and everything is ok. I am ok with it as I love to see what going on in there - and if my due date is off I want to make sure he will be nice and healthy when the time is right. Not worried if he will be big, just want him healthy!!
Mine Is on tuesday, so excited! But I wouldn't get to worked up over the weight they give. It's estimated not 100% accurate. With my first they said she was going to be 11 lbs or more, she was 6 lbs 7oz.
My 30 week appointment over a week ago he was 4 pounds and measuring big and moved my EDD to a day in October (sleep is required if you want to remember things!) but I wasn't sure if that was big or average.. They had to check on his kidneys (which are perfect now!!) which is the only reason why I got an ultrasound..
I haven't had measurements taken of the baby since my A/S... I suppose that's a good thing because it means everything's going well, but I still sort of wish I got to see her more often.
I just had my 32 week scan a few days ago and baby was estimated to be around 4lb6oz! I thought this sounded big compared to the estimations on this app but midwifed told me it's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about
At 32 weeks, they estimated my baby's weight at 4lbs, 10oz. They said this is 69th percentile. Both my husband and I were large newborns, so this is about what we were expecting.
4.1 lbs at 29 weeks ... I passed my 1 hr gd screen but they are having me do the 3 hr because he is so big ... Dr said if the baby's growth continues at this rate we will have to talk c section

Natalquilter15 unless you are diabetic, macrosomia is not an indication for cesarean or induction of labor. Anyone who suggests otherwise is outdated and not following current ACOG guidelines. And shame on any midwife recommending such without some other really good medical reason.
I'm 34 weeks today and went this morning for a growth scan. She's measuring in the 25th percentile at an approximate 4pounds 2oz. I'm not concerned. We're not big people and my first came out at 6 pounds 13oz at 41weeks 3 days. She's also only about the 5th percentile for weight now at 17 months. We make small babies. I've also got 6-7 weeks for her to pack on some more weight.
At mine yesterday I was 32w 5d. He is estimated at 5lb 9oz! Freaking out a little bit. Type 2 diabetic! My fluid levels are also higher than normal! Hope all goes well!

I had my ultra sound yesterday at 33 weeks and they said Ellie was measuring at 5lb 9oz! I have definitely been freaking out. Plus her head was measuring at 35 weeks ouch.
I won't have any other scans than my 20 week either! I had to have multiple scans last pregnancy due to a high risk pregnancy, in which they scanned me every 4 weeks.... Not sure if that's why these other girls are having multiple scans or not!
