Just tell him your milk doesn't come in until baby! It's the truth. If you pumped a little now, you'd maybe get some colustrum but that needs to be saved for a newborn and he should understand that. Plus as PP stated, pumping can cause pre-term labor and you don't want that. Just tell hubs he'll have to wait and he can try some after baby
The body produces colostrum until after baby is born and the milk comes in. Pumping it before birth won't use it all up. My OB told me she approves of pumping colostrum at 38 weeks and beyond to help kickstart labor. She recommended, if I chose to pump at that time, to save the colostrum incase my milk comes in late or I can't feed him right away due to medication or other circumstances.
Just a fyi, colostrum is hard to collect when pumping, most if it gets stuck in the top of the pump, usually hand expression works the best due to the consistency of colostrum.

I've heard some adoptive parents actually pump until they produce milk. So I'd guess it is possible PP mentioned during pregnancy there were probably potential side effects. Listen it surprised me too! I'm not going to go as far as say it's orgasmic. But I find it enjoyable. Different. Relaxing, sensual. We did have to taper, hubs was gaining weight unexpectedly. Not that we do this, but I think there's a big difference between your husband enjoying it in the privacy of your own home with the baby nowhere near you and someone seeing you in a café breast-feeding your child and thinking that you're being sexual. I definitely wouldn't call it taking a step back. I defer to my husband like a 50s housewife, and would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the occasional spanking, but I don't think I'm setting women's rights back.
And I agree with @acarter0914's question, to an extent. I think breasts will always be sexualized in our society, and I know a lot of you disagree. However, the sexualization of breasts is why the act of sucking nipples is appealing to some men.

I'm just flabbergasted at all of this.
Long story short, SO and I had gotten Hulu and saw the extensive Anime collection. We clicked a couple of random shows. One of them was about this like group of warriors from an ancient order that protect some religious artifacts or something. But to get powers they get the breast milk from certain women (I didn't keep watching to learn the rules to this part) and yeah... there was a lot going on. I was trying to watch to understand, but they also made like weird moans...so I felt really uncomfortable watching it. It was like being scared my mommy was gonna come in and find me watching porn or something. I think it's called something like Quasar no stigma.
I was telling SO that I may start leaking in the coming weeks and asked whether that would weird him out. He loves my breasts and enjoys their new plumpness often. He says that he wouldn't be weird-ed out, nor would it keep him from putting them in his mouth. I don't find it all that weird, I mean my milk can't taste any worse than what I taste like down below and SO loves that....
As a FTM, when husband tried to 'drink from the tap' I automatically felt creeped out and told him to stop. Your mind set about your breast being touched will probably change when baby arrives. Plus they could be raw and cracked, making this completely off the table.
Also:
1. As said, You may induce labor by pumping.
2. Colostrum will lose its most of its nutritional benefits by freezing it. Antibodies do not survive freezing, and colostrum is really the first antibodies that your baby receives before he is able to start making his own and serves to protect him.
Engorgement is a good time to "play" with excess milk - also enjoy what you do while you do. For me once the baby has latched the shop closes down for a while. Not sure how I'll feel this time around.
Squirting happens easiest when the milk first 'lets down'. Otherwise it might be hard to get an actual stream. It's when the baby first latches on and you feel a tingly sensation, which is basically you milk ducts emptying. If baby lets go, he's getting a milk shower
I think it's wonderful that he's excited about it I would wait personally. The colostrum is very important for your newborn and yes, pumping too early could bring on labor. After the baby is born though, I think you'll find that you'll have plenty of milk to spare and the actual act of orgasm will make you leak milk anyhow. (Lol! :$ That might be a bit much info for firsttimers here) He may really like it. It is pretty sweet tbh and if he does, he might help increase your production. My husband, on the other hand, is absolutely grossed out by the idea of consuming or even touching breast milk tho. Lmboooo!!! So I usually squirt him at least once just to get a reaction while I'm in a state of lactation.
