First period after D&C

Hi all, just wanted to share what's happening in case anyone else is going through/has gone through the same thing.

This morning (4 weeks post-D&C) I woke up with cramping. I've been spotting a mixture of bright red blood and brown blood over the past week or so. On Saturday, I took a positive pregnancy test so I thought it couldn't be my period. I called the doctor and she said it was likely my period -- apparently you can still get your period even if your hcg hasn't dropped completely to zero. I don't understand how that's possible, but I trust my doctor.

I'm bleeding quite a bit, and it looks/feels like a period, so fingers crossed that it is. Otherwise, there is definitely something wrong.

    I got my period back at 5 weeks past d&c and had actually had my hcg levels checked that morning and it was at a 3.. So I know it was for sure a possibility in my case
