YUP... I counted how many weekends we have left to prepare.. Excluding a few where we're traveling we have NINE. NINE EFFING WEEKENDS TO PREPARE TO HAVE A KID. AHH!! I can't imagine the early November moms. Y'all running around like chickens with your heads cut off yet?
I was signing up for parent helper days for my sons preschool and was so excited that no one had taken the halloween day yet, then I realized shit I can't take that day either cause I could be having a baby! Lol But this is my third time around so not to concerned. Just getting excited.
I have one weekend free before baby. It's the one right before he comes. Otherwise it's weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, trips and family obligations. Crazy!! I'm actually happy to have something to keep me busy while my mind freaks out.
Yeah my baby is measuring a few weeks ahead and my original due date is November 2nd... I have between 8-10 weeks to get stuff ready to rock... I am no where near prepared!!!!!!!!!!!

Nov 4th here, less than 8 weeks left at work. I was about to book a visit to another site at the beginning of October which is a 4 hour train ride away then realised I'll be 35 weeks. Probably not the best idea lol.
Guys I still have to move overseas in less than 2 weeks, find a new doctor/hospital, and find a house before this baby shows up! Oh and learn enough German by the time he shows up, just in case I get nurses who don't speak English during labor. No pressure, right? ( @-)

If it makes you feel better, I ran into so many Germans that spoke English, and beautifully too. They barely had an accent. I'm guessing you're military moving there? If that's the case, people usually speak more English around American military bases, especially in facilities like that where they speak with us more.
Maybe it's because I'm first due at the very end of November, but I'm honestly kind of relaxed about it, and I'm a FTM. I'm also feeling like ughh, I have too much other stuff to worry about before that time comes and I can't even get ready for him until that other stuff happens so there's no point in me getting too nervous, etc yet.
My date officially got moved from Nov 4th to Oct 22nd, and I'm in meltdown mode. I feel like nothing is done and need to get my life together but still have 3 more weeks of work. Maybe I'll find the motivation by then. I'm really excited that he will probably be here by Halloween though, it's my favorite holiday!
I'm November 21st and dd will be 2years old November 14th. Hubby and I wanted them close together and today we had that holy shit moment of how crazy things are going to get! Thankfully he is a very hands on dad so I'm not completely freaking out!!!!
Seems like a really long time to me still.... I look forward to meet her so badly. I know we cant be prepared more than we are, and everything will happen once she is in our arms.... So exciting!!
Yikes....it hadn't totally hit me yet until I read this. Nov 5 and haven't even bought gotten my car seat yet or a single diaper. Guess I better get on it!
10 weeks and counting!! Being on my 4th I know that the last stretch goes fast but feels like FOREVER!!!! I'm ready to see my babe and for cooler weather because my summer maternity clothes are starting to not fit >:(
Nov 28th FTM here...maybe that's why I still feel like I have a long time to go. I'm also a student and almost the entire fall semester of classes for me sits between me and my baby boy (along with four months of leave with him!).
On the other hand when I think too much about how the nursery still needs painting, the floor refinished, and things like finding a pediatrician, those 13 weeks start to seem a lot shorter...I'm kind of hoping that classes kicking into full gear next week will make the time run a little faster.
I'm technically due oct 26 but am anticipating going late again since I had to be induced for my daughter. I'm 32 weeks tomorrow!!! I have 8-10 weeks and still haven't even painted the toddlers new room! I gotta get on that!
Definitely worrying as well a little. Due November 29th, but I'm shooting 7 weddings between now and then (husband and I are wedding photographers) so I don't really have a lot of free time left between now and due date!
My due date is st the end of November so I still technically have another 13 weeks but since my first was early, I am anticipating being early again (hoping not obviously). What stands out most in my mind is "holy shit, I'm going to have 2! How the hell am I going to juggle 2?"
@violetigerlily we are in the same situation. Due Nov 28th, just got paint yesterday. We wanted to move but couldn't find a house so we are kicking it into gear at our duplex. My cousins baby came 3 weeks early and is perfectly healthy.. so now I'm really freaking out! She wasn't due until mid September. So now we're getting on the ball over here!!

I anticipated early with DD2 because DD1 was a little early. She was a week late. I hope you have better luck. Now I been giving myself a range of 8-11 weeks. 11 being if I go late. 8 is when I just want to be ready and not worry the last few weeks. Not that I have much to do at all being it's my third.

Yes we are a military family. I've been told this, but I want to try and learn some German over the next couple weeks so that I'm not the idiot American who didn't bother to try and learn it at the very least. Just in case

DH and I were both born early, but neither of us was the first baby. I think my older brother was born on his actual due date. But I honestly still think I'm going to go late since it's more common. I'm intending on having everything ready by the end of October (due 11/14), but even if I'm not, our crib is set up, some clothes are folded and ready, and my mom is planning on coming to help anyway

7 weddings?! Damn, girl, that's a lot of post!
I'm so thankful we will have a nice influx of cash right before baby (both of our "normal" jobs aren't exactly bringing in the dough) but yeah, I'm definitely a little concerned about catching up on all my post production! I may try outsourcing the ones closest to my due date and see how that goes.
9 weeks 6 days left is it! Ahhhhh! I have the nursery furniture and diapers but not much else...waiting for my shower next weekend and then buying whatever we didn't receive! It flew by!
12 weeks 1day left for me, it's becoming super real.. And I definitely don't have everything I need yet. I'm getting really excited to meet my little princess though
I can't believe I only have 9 weeks left today and still so much to do! It's reassuring to think she won't need anything but the very, very essentials in the beginning, but still...
Re: Did you see the Nov15 birth announcement thread?
Yup. Due Nov 1 :-SS

I'm excited but so bloody nervous at the same time. I keep thinking within a mouth I know my baby will be here. Reality is definitely kicking in.
