Re: Morning Sickness

  • For those of you that wear seabands, don't other people notice them/wonder what they are/ask about it?

  • I've been worried about that too. No one has asked so far. I figure my reasoning will be that some kids at my school have had the stomach flu and my tummy's been queasy, so I'm taking precautions. Unfortunately my symptoms have worsened and even though I'm not vomiting, I hardly get a break from the nausea. Picked up the ginger chews from TJs today and also some lemon ginger echinacea drink. Fingers crossed!
  • I had all day all pregnacy sickness with my DD and I'm not 7 weeks and it's starting to creep up on my now. This is the first day I've been sick but I can't stop. I know it was coming as it felt sick for about s week now on and off. I really do no what's it's like try eating little and often and trying to keep drink water even if it comes back up. Take care xxxx
  • Zofran was the only way I survived first trimester last time. And no matter what lawyers have you believe, it is safe! It didn't fully take away the nausea but it kept me from actually vomiting. As for foods, I just listened to my body, i didn't push it and try to make myself eat things that didn't' sound appetizing. So basically I survived on saltines, white peaches, and eventually baked potatoes and ramen. Around 11-12 weeks I was at costco and said, "I think I can eat a hot dog". It was the first meat I had eaten in like 2 months! I know it was all crap food, (well except the peaches), but it was literally all I could stomach eating.

  • When anyone asks how the pregnancy is going I always say I love it except it's like have a hangover at all times! Reasons my first trimester is like a hangover: 1. So nauseous all the time. 2. Throwing up all the time. 3. Soo thirsty!! 4. Headaches 5. Can't stand heavy or greasy foods. 6. No desire to drink alcohol at all. This last one is the most interesting. Before I became pregnant I was never a heavy drinker but definitely enjoyed a few glasses of wine a week or a beer on a hot day. I thought I would miss it but so far it seems repulsive to me. :)
The worst thing is I have drank coffee in the past to ease a hangover but I have stopped my coffee drinking (I know it's okay in moderation but it's a slippery slope for me!)
  • The 'all day sickness' has kicked in for me. It's going to be a long road to the end of my 1st trimester. I had the Popsicles today and they realllllly helped. Good luck!
  • Yessss! All.day.long. Constantly feel like I've been hit by a bus covered in puke. I've yet to actually get sick but it's literally right there...always. So glad I saw this post - was really starting to feel like a bum! I move from the couch to the kitchen to the bathroom and the bed!
  • I was just prescribed diclegis yesterday and already feel so much better!!
