  • Lol I don't even know how to pronounce that! Is it Micah or Mikayla with extra letters?
  • Loading the player...
  • I would say Micaiah "Mik-aye-ah" - is that right?
  • Micaiah.

The j is confusing to non Hebrew speakers. Hell, even without the j it's confusing to non Hebrew speakers.
  • i thought this was a male name

I'm not a fan of the name either way you spell it.

  • Unless this name has some sort of significance to you I would not choose either.

  • It's pronounced Ma-Kai-Yuh. It's a biblical name that means "who is like God" the J spelling is the Hebrew spelling and can be used as a boy or girl name.
  • GENDER: Masculine
    USAGE: Biblical
    OTHER SCRIPTS: מִיכָיְהוּ (Ancient Hebrew)

oh i thought it said masculine

  • It can be male or female.
  • Hmm. That's interesting. The traditional spelling is listed as masculine only on BTN, but the anglicized version is listed as both.

I had no issue pronunciation, this is also a nice name. I prefer Micaiah, as the J is probably confusing for those who do not know the history of the name.
