Baby farting

So, my LO is a happy little guy. He is CONSTANTLY farting though. He is breastfed...so I'm not sure if it's something I'm eating or not. He doesn't seem upset though. Is it just normal for babies to fart ALL the time??

    He is happy because he farts. It's the gas that makes them have upset stomach so be happy he gets it out instead of holding it in!! Lol

    Yup my little guy is a total farter! He farts constantly! Better out than in.

    My girl is supper gassy, and I've cut dairy/soy out of my diet and she is on probiotics! I'm happy when she farts because when the gas is stuck she can't sleep well.

    Like pp said you can try cutting out milk/soy and see if that makes him less gassy. A probiotic can also help.

    I think it's a healthy thing! Farting is not the same as gas pain & discomfort. To me it means things are functioning well. He seems happy

    My LO farts a lot too which I also think is a good thing but my only concern is that she tends to have frequent diaper blow outs and often times have small specks of poop in her diaper throughout the day! Any one else notice this with their LOs?

    Yep! It's either completely full or the size of a nickel!

    My LO is a big farter. Has been since day one. Everyone that came visit him in the hospital after he was born he farted on everyone lol. I'd rather have him be a big farter than to have gas pain. Sometimes he has wet farts.

    @Naudz mine doesn't have a lot of blowouts (knock on wood) butttttt she did have weeks where every diaper had a skidmark. Then she got constipated. When she started pooping again that stopped. Babies are weird and poop is weird.

    My lactation consultant said it'd good and normal means they're eating good and gas isn't stuck in baby's belly making him upset :) mine can almost put fart my hubby lmao
