So since the bumb hates our pictures I figured I'd start a new thread to see if the pictures will load on it. If not we can change it to another food post!

Here's the dresser and start of the mobile I've been trying to post. Fingers crossed it works this time...

Any tips/tricks for using chalk paint, @makeoutside7 ?! I need to do a dresser for little one's room and I'm nervous! Lol

@ahowell88, chalk paint was sold out at Home Depot and Target so I actually mixed my own and saved some money. Attached are all the products that I used and paint recipe. You do not need a lot because a little goes a long way! I also spruced up the dresser with new knobs from World Market $2.99-$10 each depending on the design, also cheaper than knobs from Home Depot. I chose white because it matches everything and if I screwed up, it's an easy color to paint over! Don't be nervous, I have no artistic bone in me, if I can do it anyone can! Also, I did not bother painting the insides of the drawers. The best part is how fast it dries (I used 2 coats). After everything dried I used sand paper on the edges to give it a "rustic vintage" look, easy to do if it is made of real wood. My cousin also suggested I go over it with a coat of clear wax paint but that is optional in my opinion depending on how you prefer the texture of the dresser. I also used chalk paint but since it was an already painted dresser I couldn't sand it for the more rustic look. My recipe was found on the Lowe's website but it called for plaster of paris. I got my new knobs on amazon. When done we coated it with a spray polyurethane to seal it.

Edited to fix (not paintball)!

I bought fabric from the same place I got my bedding, so everything matches! I did a diy mo Ike arm cover and a tutu hair bow holder

. I spray painted a bunch of random things, too. Ha

@VexedMommy just noticed your comment on the old DIY crafts thread. Sorry for the late reply! Here is an update on the latch rug. I try to do 6 squares a day, and if I do, I should be done by Halloween!
It seriously looks like I've gone nothing done, but I'm secretly impressed by how my actually I have got done

Thanks! my dog loves to lay on it, she growls at me when I pick her off of it. It's very soft and fluffy

Finished little girl's dress! Its 0-3m, but its supposed to work as a tunic for a little longer than that. The yarn is cotton, so I think I can steam-block it to stretch it out a bit bigger, as well, since I just wet blocked it to open up the lace but wasn't aggressive with it.

First off I love all your ideas. Brave

. I went a much easier way stickers.. The nursery is still being used by DD due to her age.. She had an owl theme LO is a boy and we found monkeys and owls work together nicely. I make most mattress covers myself not perfectly but I try.. All that's missing is LOs crib. Im hoping both will enjoy their room. I only learned to crochet in a straight line

So I always make my baby's a blanket.

Haha, oh thanks! We put it in the kitchen to paint because the nursery is carpeted and I'm scary with a paint brush... There were a few occasions where I quickly wiped paint up off the floor and prayed it would all come up.

Sewed our little one a ruffled crib skirt and fitted carseat cover in gender neutral greys! We're moving across country when I'm 37 weeks thanks to the military so I unfortuna tell can't set up or decorate the nursery yet

@hnbruck, I love it! That stuff is so expensive at the store. Wish I was as talented as you. I am also obsessed with trellis. My entire bedroom is grey with trellis comforters and trellis curtains. Can't wait to see your nursery!
