Sad! Missing him!

Hi everyone, I'm 10wks5days and I'm so sad and depressed, and I'm just reaching out to ya for comfort words, my husband left for a business trip and won't see him for a total of eight weeks and it bums me out because my families home it's not the best right now and he is all my support I have and being pregnant with mood swings and missing him not a good combo....

It's tough, there's no doubt about that. Eight weeks can seem like a lifetime but it's really not that bad. I used to be in a long distance relationship with DH and I know that the busier you keep yourself the easier it is. I recently spent four weeks away from my husband. We consciously made the effort to call/text/FaceTime everyday and that makes it so so so much easier. Best thing you can do is stay BUSY and keep him as involved as possible by staying in contact whenever possible. Eight weeks will pass, and sooner than you think right now!!

I know how you feel. My husband works in construction and is gone most of the week when they work out of town which is most jobs they do. This job has been particularly hard because he's been gone Monday through Saturday through my whole pregnancy so far. Thankfully this is the last week and they'll hopefully be back to Monday through Thursday. But like the other poster said call and text and FaceTime helps so much. I still tell him as much as I do when he was home more often and he loves that he's included. And stay busy. It'll be over before you know it. It takes a strong woman to be married to a man that has to be gone for extended periods and I'm sure you are one.

My boyfriend works away too, he goes out to sea for 2-3 weeks at a time and will land for 1-2 days and back out, sometimes I don't see him for 6-9 weeks because they dock in Boston and we live in Canada ... He also doesn't have cell phone service while at sea because they fish off the Grand Banks ... So it blows

! It'll get easier as time goes by, you'll get more used to it !

Like all the pp said just stay busy and be very thankful that y'all are able to communicate. Military wives often say goodbye to their husbands for months at a time and only get a very rare call or email. Good luck and just lurk around on here when your bored cause you can often get a lot of laughs!

If you aren't working right now maybe consider getting a simple job, it will take up the time so you don't go stir crazy. Good luck.

I was working for a casino but had to stop working there due to all the cigar smoke
