thank you gifts?

I am having a tough time coming up with good ideas for thank you gifts for the women that are throwing my baby shower. There are five ladies working together to put it together (my mom, mil, sister, and two best friends- all except the last two are out of town and one of the besties is pregnant too, which is why there are so many!). I want to thank them properly and give them something heartfelt. They are all such different people that I'm having a hard time with this! I want to get them basically all the same thing, but it could be something customizable so I can change it up a little to suit each of them.

My last resort will be a gift card of some sort- I'd really like to do something a little more personal than that if I can figure it out.

Thanks for your ideas, ladies!

  • I got my hosts wristlets- one was Kate Spade and the other was Coach based on their styles and preferences. They both loved them.

  • Mine is a friend I get pedicures with so I got her a mani/pedi gift certificate. I like getting something I know they'll use on themselves - especially people who do so much for others.
  • I got mine a gift certificate for a pedicure and an hour long massage.
  • Monogrammed acrylic jewelry trays from Etsy. They were $10 each but look so expensive. PM if you want vendor name

  • I gave the three girls that threw my shower a monogrammed initial bracelet by Alex and Ani. They all really liked them and they are reasonably priced at about $30 each!
  • How about something from thirty one? Those items can be monogrammed and you could pick the same style (like a tote) but even do a different fabric or color for each lady?
  • I love getting hand soaps from Bath and Body works. I've also given nice blank notecards as hostess gifts. We can't afford something fancier, but those are both nice, but inexpensive thank you gifts. Potted plants or flowers are always nice.

  • I had a hard time with this! I had 2 showers, my sisters had one for me then one of my girlfriends had one for me. I got my sister both fun, unique serving platters I got from Peir One. They both love to entertain and I was able to pick out styles that would match what I felt they would like. I gave them the gift receipt too but they seemed to really like what I picked out, yay! For my girlfriend I got her a special necklace from a local botique and a gift certificate for a facial. Good luck!!! ;)
  • I got different gift sets from bath & body works. I know it's not crazy heartfelt but I had 3 very different woman to buy for ranging in ages from early 20s to late 40s. They all really liked them.

  • I got my hostesses each flowers and wine. The flowers were potted mini roses so they could keep them for a long time.
  • I had four people to buy for and a really tight budget so I bought a bottle of Barefoot wine and created a cute label from an idea I found on Pinterest, along with a small candle that was on sale at old navy and a coffee mug from HomeGoods. I think I spent $10 per lady!
  • @kaylarenae3 cute idea!
I got James Avery grandmother charms for mom, MIL and auntie charm for my sister. They are a little pricey -like $30 each but they all wear charm bracelets and loved em.
  • I got my hostesses Wrap Bracelets from Origami Owl with and Inscription Plate that had something special inscribed for each hostess, my moms had a bible verse, my sister's said Once upon a Time... (book themed baby shower plus she found out she is pregnant too around the time I ordered them) BFF got a Harry Potter quote since we are both huge Harry Potter fans.

  • I just took my 5 hostesses out for a nice lunch.they were very grateful and surprised
  • Jane.com. They put up random deals everyday that stay up for just a few days. I got my 5 hosts monogrammed earrings. They were $6 each and looked expensive. By the time you pay shipping and all its $45. Kinda hard to buy for 5 people, make it nice, and not break the bank. Got each lady different colors and they all loved them.
  • Check out etsy for some personalized gifts. I gave my sister a mug that said "Aunts are like Moms only cooler"
  • I gave my mom and mother in law "I love my grandma" bibs and a brag book each. For my sister in laws a bottle of wine wrapped in a pretty dish towel and bow. for my best friend a gc for a winery to go out with her husband. they all loved their gifts and I wanted to be sure they knew their planning meant a lot to me.

I think this might be perfect! How did you do the labels???
  • I got my mom and sister Each a Pandora heart charm and made a little flower arrangement. Another idea for cute little gifts is Nordstrom online they have nice things in their home section.
  • We did a coed shower/BBQ so I actually had 2 ladies and a gentleman throw my party for me.

I got them each one "big" thing and a bunch of small little goodies then made my own gift baskets (World Market Cost Plus has basket sets for $5/ea). They were personalized but still affordable.
  • What about little "treat yo self" (I'm obsessed with Parks & Rec) kits? Then you can customize to each person's individual interests/likes. For example....

*Mini bottle of champagne (about $5)
*"Chick Flick" DVD (Target often has these - or even combo packs - for like $5)
*Favorite Candies (get a few to total about $5)
    *Smelly Lotion ($5-10)
    Total Cost: $20-30

Then you can write something on the card like "After all of your hard work planning this shower, you deserve a night off! Treat yo self!"

I created the label myself on Word! I can email you the document if you want :) is there anyway to send me a private message?

  • Here's a closeup if you wanna try to create the label on your own :)
  • I got my two hosts books signed for their newborns by my former Student who happens to be a well known French children's author. I'm super excited about it. It really was a fluke! Him and his wife were sending us a bunch of his books for our baby and asked if I had any friends whom I'd like to give books to and thought it was a perfect opportunity! I'm pairing the books with a box of fancy pants French chocolates. I think they're going to love it! I love gift giving.

Had the book opportunity not come up, I was planning a little Body Shop gift set. Everyone loves lotions and bath gels!
