@raesmith9 so far it seems to be 12-14 days but this has been my first month charting properly (same time in the morning, every day etc.) Since I'm at 12 dpo I'll wait until 15 dpo as you've suggested, if I still haven't started my period. It takes some serious self control not to POAS when there's a pack of 25 wondfos laying around
****I know this is a strange request for this board, but chart stalk please because I don't know what I think about what FF thinks*****and I'm still new to this temping game but my temp this AM, while above coverline is still low. So anybody willing please take a look at my chart and reassure me like FF is that I did in fact O this month
Month/Cycle: 4 month of TTC/2 month of consistent temping
CD/DPO: 29/ 6
Timing: -4, -3, -2, -1 (although I can't remember if we really did have sex or not on -1 but I marked it that we did, no alcohol involved either!!)
Testing Plans: Waiting on temps. I took a test last month on 9 DPO and got a BFN, put me in a funk for a few days. Not going there again. Plus, if I my LP is 12 days like last month, AF or a BFP would be right around the corner and we have alot going on in the next 2 weeks, so I;m hoping the week will pass quickly.
Rants/raves/chart stalk: Just over this cycle!! Ready to start using my Mabis and maybe starting to temp vaginally next month. I also think its funny that it would appear for all the crazy ups and downs of this month it would appear we somehow had good timing. Will be interesting to see what the outcome is for this month but now that I actually appeared to have at least O'ed, I'm really just happy about that.
GTKY: What was your favorite childhood cartoon growing up?
Jem!! smurfs and definitely Inspector Gadget!!!
@crdo- Fingers crossed for you!! I hope that your stay here will not be long!
@mkc3888- my temps dropped slightly the day before AF came. They went down significantly the day AF showed up. I know everybody is different but it was nice to have it work out like that because after I took my temp that day I thought I bet AF will be here shortly. And by lunch time that day, it was.
@CUtiger09- Can I get an Amen for an O this month!!! I was more stressed about that than anything! And I still don't trust FF!
@RachelT1234- I guess for me, I would base my next test date on how you felt after the BFN? When i tested last month on 9 DPO and got a BFN, I was in a funk for a few days. I would maybe wait another day or 2 if I were you. But that's just based on me and how I felt after BFN.
@BakerBird525- Sorry about your BFN and having to go through that with your friend. I hope that it works out for you sooner than later!! And try to enjoy the beach, AF or no AF!!! Put your toes in the sand for me
@LizaKate1213- I totally feel you on the temping causing anxiety. When I thought I wasn't even maybe going to O this month, that was making me crazy!! I was all over the place emotionally for many reasons. I'm currently somewhere in between I can't wait for next month to start using my Mabis and hopefully something better will happen. But now I'm also thinking I'm going start temping vaginally next month because I've also discovered I think I'm a mouth breather. Good times over here!!!
@smfeuro- Happy Birthday!!! I turned 35 on Saturday. I can totally relate to having some ups and downs with this journey and not being 25. The science behind it is not what they teach you in high school, which is use protection or you will get pregnant. There are many ladies on these boards that are 30 + and great resources for knowledge. Don't be discouraged. I'm so glad that I did not have a child @ 25. I've done so many things and learned so many things that I probably would not have done if I would have had a child @ 25. I struggled with turning 30 though too and I had a tough week this past week. Hang in there!!! The best is yet to come!!!

25 wondfos?! Pee on all the sticks! Lol sorry. I have no self control. If they are in the house, they will dwindle away quickly. In my mind, the knowing is better than the wondering, even if I end up disappointed.
Testing Plans: Stupid, stupid, stupid. Got to thinking that mayyybbeee FF was wrong about O date any that I was more than 8dpo. So BFN this morning, or course. I was gonna just hide it from you guys and not even put it on my chart, but I know no one is judging here. I seriously can convince myself of any excuse to test!!! Is there a POAS anonymous group?? Gonna wait a couple more days before I'm stupid again.
Rants/raves/chart stalk: Temp pretty high this morning. Solid sleep, and good temp timing, so that's good! Attatching chart.
GTKY: What was your favorite childhood cartoon growing up? Rugrats, Doug, Rocko's modern life. I'd have to sneak and watch Ren and Stimpy because I wasn't actually allowed to watch!
Fur child: One awesome Golden Retriever IUI August 2016 : Cancelled due to polyp September 2016: Polyp removal/hysteroscopy October 2016: IUI #1- BFN November 2016: IUI #2- BFN December 2016: IUI #3 - BFN January/February 2017 - IVF + ICSI + PGD March 2017 - FET
@MNturnsVA - two things. I definitely think you should try vaginal temping. Also, I notice you are not tracking CM. This, to me, is the best indicator of knowing fertile days. It is quick and easy, and would probably help you confirm your O, or at least your FW.

I feel you on wanting to POAS. My temp went up this morning from being low and tomorrow I am suppose to start my period and I have no signs of my period like I did last cycle. I want to POAS so bad but I do not want to see a BFN until especially if my temp drops tomorrow morning. I may start testing tomorrow if it goes up again! But the good thing is that I have nothing to PO on that is an advantage.
MNturnsVA if you are not pregnant this cycle I would so temp vaginally!!!
Married: August 2012

BFP 1: October 30, 2015; EDD: July 6, 2016- Team Pink
Addition to my earlier post: doing my best to not symptom spot today. Gahhh!
Also, my coworker is bringing in her 5 week old baby today ... Mixed emotions about that, since she got pregnant around the time we started trying.
Me too. I'm doing my best to not POAS today. I keep thinking "what if my cycle is shorter than usual," especially since my last cycle was 40 days, a decrease of 9 days from the one before. Breasts are also looking bigger before they normally would. I guess there's no real harm with a WONDFO, but still...
I've seen a few comments about this lately, but can someone explain to me what the benefits or differences are (if any) to temping vaginally instead of orally? My mabis is en route via Amazon this week, so I will hopefully start getting the hang of temping soon, but I'm just curious!
@mrsschmity: Temping vaginally may be beneficial if you are mouth breather (especially if this is inconsistent) and see a lot of rocky temps. Temping vaginally may see more consistent temps.

@rosesmith9 and @LizaKate1213- so not to be too graphic here, but how far does one have to insert the thermometer into the vagina to get an accurate reading? Also, I was going to start being more in tune with CM this month but I got a bacterial infection right around FW time, so that went out the window.
@mrsschmity- If you know that you are a mouth breather, I would highly recommend just temping vaginally from the start. I didn't really think it was going to be an issue for me but in the last month DH has woken me up over a handful of nights and told me to stop snoring. I also have had a few times that I've put the thermometer in my mouth and almost fallen back to sleep and probably not kept the thermometer in the best position the whole 60 seconds and notice my mouth dropping open. I also had a bacterial infection earlier in the month, so I know this month was just all over the place because of a few different things. So, I'd just start out vaginally instead of orally and then you shouldn't have as many inconsistencies hopefully.
Testing Plans: I seem to act like an insane person in the first cycle in that I test SUPER early. This time I started at 7dpo which was practically the same as throwing my $ away on a test and of course it was a BFN. Then I tested the next morning with FMU and there was such a faint line that I thought it was possibly an evap line. I retested using SMU and the line was a little more noticeable but still so so faint that I could not be sure either way. Eventually I tested late that night with a FRER again and got my first noticeable pink second line without tilting the test 7 different ways BUT my digital FRER was negative. Digital test still negative this morning but the line test is positive. I caved and bought another brand of digital test (Clearblue) and got a positive so I guess that one was a better digital for me.
Rants/raves/chart stalk: Very surprised to get a positive on my first cycle as last time it took me 6 months to get my first positive. This board and community is great and over the years I know it has got a lot of criticism from people thinking it is a negative place, but they misunderstand it as I think it is worse on all the other sites that just tell you what you want to hear and then get your hopes up even higher. I can't tell you how many times I have seen women writing to each other that they think each other is pregnant with zero information (they simply have a good feeling) I just don't see how that helps. It is good to be somewhat grounded in reality when TTC and I thank you all for your honest feedback I hope to see you all over on the FT board soon.

@mrsschmity- Another temping thing that you want to be aware of if you aren't is that you are supposed to be as "still as possible" before you actually take your temp, (don't get up and then go to the bathroom and go back to lay down and temp ) however that said, I've gotten some temps that I didn't trust 100% this month and gotten up, went downstairs in my house and sat down and taken temp again and it actually went down vs up. But I am not trusting my thermometer much these days either. So you can have some movement, but I know you want to keep it minimal. And I've heard others have actually forgotten and just get up and do go to the bathroom and come back to temp and it still seems with in the normal range of where it should be. So just a helpful hint on that. And, I was waking up and taking my temp @ 5:30- 5:45ish and then not actually putting the temp into FF @ 8 am when I would get to work. That gave me a lot "open circles' on my chart = basically temperatures that FF didn't like. I think those are any other helpful temping tips I have to offer!
@rosesmith9 and @LizaKate1213- so not to be too graphic here, but how far does one have to insert the thermometer into the vagina to get an accurate reading? Also, I was going to start being more in tune with CM this month but I got a bacterial infection right around FW time, so that went out the window.
I am normally half a sleep when I do it so I stick it in pretty deep. I have a CVS brand so I stick in pretty much to base thickness of the thermometer, right before the screen starts. I am not sure if that is how it should be done but it works for me. I wanted to make sure that I do not just taking the base of my vagina and that I am actually in there pretty well. And when I remove my hand from the thermometer it stays in there without me holding it. I hope that this helps!!!

I just wanted to mention I started AF today, at 10 DPO my first month temping the whole month. I am really bummed and worried about my LP length, even though I know 10 DPO is still considered normal. Anyway, heading over to WTO.
