I don't know about this whole sling/wrap thing. Everyone's nuts about how they're such a good way to carry the baby and so good for bonding and I'm like "I'm placing the safety and wellbeing of my newborn in the hands of two metal rings and some cloth." Not so sure about these....
And also, not a huge fan of pink everything for baby girls. Not even a little.

There are also carriers out there that are wonderful. Ergos are great if you've never done it before.

From the beginning we have only wanted two kids. My first born wad a boy. Everyone keeps asking if I am hoping for a girl. The truth is, I'm not sure I am. I am totally fine with two boys. I think it is weird that society thinks just because I am a woman I want a girl or I am going to be disappointed with two boys. I just want a healthy baby. Or that just because I have two boys I am automatically going to try for a third in hopes of a girl. No, we only want two kids no matter what the sex is.

I prefer carriers like the Ergo. Wraps are safe, but not idiot proof. I feel like there are fewer ways to screw up with the Ergo.
Taking a dark turn... I don't think participation trophies should be awarded ... And I think ribbons should cease at say 7/8 years old , ribbons for effort for younger kids I can jive with . Trophies for showing up for 12 year olds, not so much.

I love cottage cheese. I love my moby wrap, ring sling, and ergo.
I hate peanut butter and chocolate.
Now, is it that you hate peanut butter and you hate chocolate individually or you hate them both together? Because that is a very important distinction to make

This is really a sad situation. I used to love peanut butter. When I was pregnant with DD, peanut butter in any form turned into a huge aversion. Before this pregnancy I could eat plain peanut butter again (but nothing sweet- jelly, chocolate). Now the smell of peanut butter turns me off completely. Chocolate and peanut butter makes me gag immediately.
I think kids are coddled way too much these days. I agree with gating participation trophies, and ribbons, and awards. I also think it is a load of crap these kids can't have letter grades and parents question the teachers instead of being mad at their kids.

My 2nd, 3rd & 5th graders do letter grades. Is this a state thing or am just way out of the loop? Lol. I do live in a small farm town but our school district is large.

I'm in the same boat. Everyone is rooting for a girl. I'm secretly wanting another boy.

Agreed. I used to work at a high school where EVERY senior had to get a superlative award at graduation. You should have heard the room full of teachers grasping at straws to come up with awards for some kids... "Biggest hockey fan? Nicest mother? Most likely to be late?"
@kynbar5 lol nope unfortunately not. Something my mom always ate, so I did, too!
@skruhmin I have been known to indulge in cottage cheese and fruit. I don't eat a ton of pineapple though because my DH doesn't like it and it makes it hard to justify buying an entire pineapple!
I'm really hating the boys names for girls trend. James and Wyatt? Just no. My least favorite of all is Riley. I love the name but would never name my son it because every Riley today is a girl! Boo!!

Just tell him it helps baby. Actually there is an old wives tale that you can help induce labor if you eat pineapple. I think I ate about 5 whole ones to try to get my second son out.

I really want my son to have a brother. I also don't get why I have to want a girl. I love little girls don't get me wrong but I just imagine myself with two adorable little boys and lots of dirt in our life.
I agree! I'm oregnant w/ twins and I seriously don't care what they are. I have a boy and I'll take 2 more too. Nope, doesn't mean we will try for a 4th. Girls are great but ...meh. I wouldn't try for another just for a girl.

I am completely disgusted by the fact that the BBQ chips in cottage cheese sounds really good right now. I'm sending my husband to the store lol!
