The fact that she will be getting brand new outfits/toys/accessories for the shower and from family. That changed my mind. It made me realize we should save that money for something more practical like diapers or formula if I cannot breastfeed.
I really enjoy all of you being weirdly obsessed with me. Am I not allowed to change my mind? I mean really.. /:)

@AudriannaMaria, it's no obsession, more like a curiosity as to why one day you would laugh at your husband for asking and then another, be completely against it. No one said you'd have to fill a room with gifts.
Personally, I will make sure both of my twins have Christmas presents from us. And if my family asks if they should get them anything, my response is "If they were born in any other month, even November, you wouldn't ask me that." I'm not going to let my kids be treated differently than our nieces and nephews just because of where their birthday lies. But hey, that's just my mama bear coming out.

It never crossed my mind not to celebrate mine on Christmas. He'll be coming dec 14th so I will definitely want presents for him under the tree too. Now will we spend as much as we would normally? Probably not. But he still needs some Christmas love.
I didn't know asking a question and quoting someone to give them a reference for what you were asking them about was a "weird obession". Welp, note to self, don't ask people questions about prior posts, especially if they contradict themselves. That makes me "weirdly obsessed" with them, rather than curious.
Anyhoo, I haven't decided on how I will go about this. I'll probably get my boy some stuff.

Totally valid and thoughtful, @AudriannaMaria... Agreed that Christmas presents is a weird thing to jerk you around about :-/
I plan on doing a couple gifts for my baby boy that is due 12/20, mostly because I know my 4 year old will wonder why Santa didn't leave anything for baby. Probably just an outfit, stuffed animal and then let my daughter pick out a gift for him.
I plan on doing an ornament, stocking, outfit for christmas it is just tradition for everyone to have ornaments and stockings in my family (even the dogs get a stocking and ornament). We just use red felt stockings right now so they aren't expensive. Everyone has a planned christmas outfit whether or not it is new (even my dogs have to take a picture with antlers or santa hat for the christmas card every year, I should try christmas lights!). If we are gifted a cute christmas outfit I wont buy another one. I don't wrap stockings, ornaments or christmas clothes so I wouldn't consider them "gifts."
My family has always done christmas pajamas as a christmas eve gift (we do wrap these) so I may try to find something that matches mine and DHs. I am planning on christmas themed newborn pictures so LO will probably get a santa hat and/or pajamas for that as well (christmas book for the pictures)..but that would be as photo props for the pictures not as presents.
LO will most likely just get a toy from us and a book for "gifts." I may justify a splurge on a big registry item to DH as LO christmas gift
I've already gone nuts on presents. Little man is due the 10th. But I am slightly Christmas crazy and I love buying gifts. Didn't think about the babies first Christmas onesie yet!! So I'm hopping straight off this board and onto etsy!!!
My folks just sent this hilarious little reindeer ball cap - if baby comes on the 24th or 25th he'll be leaving the hospital wearing it...
Figure we'll all need a laugh by then.
I love those button up onesies! Know where they're from??
Aw thanks @JenniferKate315 . They look cute to me too, but box is in transit so haven't seen them in person. Pretty sure the onesies are all from Carter's... At least the Bears in Specs is Carters, stripes may be Burts Bees as I know my mom's a fan.
I am due December 14 and never even considered not putting some things under the tree for LO. I do have a 4yo, so maybe that's why. We do the Santa thing so I'm sure he'd be questioning why Santa didn't bring anything for his new sister. I will most likely do practical things though: diapers, wipes, formula haha! I will definitely wrap a few baby toys as well though. No reason not to include her in the fun!!

I got you covered
I got you covered
Thank you!!!
@AudriannaMaria i'm also curious as to what made you change your mind?

The self-absorption is strong with this one!

Like pp said, I will probably get a picture ornament. Or maybe something cute if I see it while shopping.
Other than that... I think birth is a pretty good gift
