FANTASTIC DAY!!!

I tend to complain a lot, so here are the fantastic points of my day:

1) Took DS to visit at work. Miss the people, not the politics!

2) Laid him down drowsy for his nap and he fell asleep on his own and napped for over an hour!!!

3) Took him for a walk in my Beco carrier and he DIDN'T poop this time

4) Still had some time and he was happy in the carrier so I kept him on and cut the grass!!!!

5) He laughed. Again.

MOMMY WIN!!!

    Today we went to Gymboree and everyone kepted commenting on how good my sons neck was during tummy time..we didn't even bring in our infant car seat. I just put him on my hip and we were like pros!! We work so hard on tummy time! It felt good.

    DD has been fighting naps like crazy lately. Today I decided to put her in her wrap at the first sign of getting sleepy and sure enough she fell asleep on me for almost two hours. I've been feeling down about returning to work next week so that snuggle time was exactly what we both needed.

    Today my son smiled at me when I picked him up from daycare. Now not to make this sound like my child hates me or anything but sometimes I have to work for that smile or laugh. Strangers he will smile for all day long but eh mom will always be there. I am clearly not as exciting as sitting up supported. Now that gets super loud squeals of excitement every time I lean him up to sit. But hey I will take the smile and giggles I got when putting him in his car seat after daycare today!

    After MANY days of this sleep regression thing LO got up at 1 to eat and then as soon as I got back in bed she was up again. I let her fuss because she wasn't full on crying and within 10 min she had put herself to sleep without a pacifier! And then slept til 6, I fed her and when she got up again at 7 I put her pacifier in gave her the elephant lovie and put on her mobile. At some point she fell back asleep and was content until 8:30, it was glorious! I was so excited and well rested I figured I would try pumping and feeding her at the same time, it wasn't easy but it was a success. And then I went to starbucks :)

    My LO is starting to babble and coo almost constantly when awake - the sweetest thing!  Makes my day all day!  Even when she doesn't nap.  At all....  The smiles and gurgling save my sanity!

    I put dd in bed not too drowsy after a feed she entertained herself then fell asleep!!

    + i accidentally dropped a water bottle while she was napping and she didn't wake up screaming
