All of a sudden!...

I just turned 29 weeks yesterday and like magic I went from feeling baby girls kicks to actually being able to see and feel her move. It is the strangest most beautiful thing. It's very hard to ignore though.. and I am in meetings a lot. Is it normal to just switch over all of a sudden to her being much more active and being able to physically see it? It's just almost unbelievable! I love it though :) also...at 29 weeks if it's so strong like this...I can't even imagine how it's going to be going forward..eek!

Re: All of a sudden!...

  • I'm 26+3 and I can also see baby. Yesterday I was actully pushing either an arm or leg back and forth across my belly. Very strange and amazing at the same time. DH was extremely creeped out... Haha

  • My husband felt a very distinct foot yesterday when he felt it against his cheek lol he took a nap and before he really fell into deep sleep he felt a foot against his face lol I can't help but laugh because it's the second time it's happened lol maybe he shouldn't lay his head on my stomach when our little guy is active lol
  • Feeling & seeing the baby is pretty awesome! Last night SO & I were laying in bed, and my belly was contorted in such a weird shape because she was curled up in a little ball to one side. We could see her bob around if we gently pushed down. We've both felt a foot, too, but just briefly because she moved it away when we touched it. I'm 28+5 today.

  • I'm 26 weeks today and we've been able to see baby kick for only 2 days or so. I'm so excited to see a foot or anything like what some of you have described. :)
  • It happened all of a sudden for me last week, too! And it's only gotten stronger... I was just seeing ripples now I'm seeing bumps and jumps! It's so neat to see! But now I will often sit and stare at my belly willing my LO to make my belly dance haha

Every time I lift my shirt to watch her move/kick, she stops. What a stinker. She's grounded when she comes out.
Maybe try pulling the shirt tighter against your belly instead and watch through the shirt.  Lol.  I've been kind of mesmerized by the shifting, jumping tummy I've got going on right now at work.
If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.

  • Happened all of a sudden for me weeks ago. Enjoy it! It only gets more pronounced in my experience.

How far along are you? Your LO could be getting startled by the sudden light. Mine does that, too, so I like to make a little tent out of my blanket when I'm lying in bed. She must like the dark. Little vampire baby.

I'm 28 weeks tomorrow, I didn't think about the light. She probably doesn't like it

  • Last pregnancy I was in a meeting and LO was doing her normal gymnastics.
One of my coworkers (who doesn't have kids) who was sitting across the table from me gasped and jumped in her chair and then pointed to my stomach.
I started laughing....  she was apparently very frightened/suprised/disgusted by the movements... the whole rest of the meeting everyone was watching my stomach :/

  • My husband has been out of town for the last few days and I just text him this this morning. I could really feel where baby is and all his anatomy this morning. Of course this makes me cry because I just realize we are SO close to finally meeting him and getting to hold him in our arms- it's getting more and more real!! Eeekk!!!
  • It happened to me for the first time on Sunday! I was sitting on the couch and my belly jumped. It was kind of creepy but also kind of cool. Kicks are getting much stronger now at 26+6. Baby still likes to be a pain and not perform for DH when he touches my belly (and yet will kick the dog for an hour when she lays against my belly!) lol. Either the little turkey is bonding with the dog (DH's theory), or is just feeling squished and trying to kick her away...
  • Awe! I love hearing all your stories! My SO works out of town for 2 weeks at a time. He is back tonight and I cannot wait for him to see her move like this! I'm a bit nervous he is going to think it's freaky but I know he'll love it deep down haha.
