    This thread made me check out when our state fair is. The last year I went, but didn't get any fair food (trying to lose that baby weight from my first), but this time, I will be eating a funnel cake. for sho.

    I have not had Indian fry bread since I lived in South Dakota! Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?

    Our state fair runs for two weeks, and the first weekend SIL is here so we can't go! Wahhhh

    I am so confused and intrigued by this. Fried butter?  wouldn't it melt? When you bite through the batter, is there like a cold sick of butter in there?

    I've never tried it but hear it gushes out of the dough when you bite into it. I can't bear the smell so I don't even know if it's served on a stick or nugget style!

    @achae  my brain tells me that i should be grossed out by the idea of a deep fried stick of butter, but my heart tells me I want to eat one.
