  • Why are there so many name threads lately?

Apparently this is the time people feel like they need to decide? And can't be bothered to read the team pink or blue threads or the baby names board?
I won't lie once it comes closer to crunch time I'm sure I'll ask you ladies in N15 about our name choices only because I've come to value your ladies opinions. But until then I always post my ideas on the name board.

  • Depends on the cookies. Are we talking the new brownie batter Oreos or just your standard chips ahoy?
  • I ended up going with the shake, totally added some pumpkin spice to it, but can we just discuss these brownie batter Oreos? My God, they sound life altering!

They are amazing. Not as good as the Reese's PB cup, but pretty darn close.
  • Oh my goodness I absolutely love the Reese's PB cups @missemmawoodhouse. I like to eat those with a glass of milk.
  • Has anyone tried the Oreo velvet cake shake from Burger King? I felt pretty guilty ordering it, but it was so good that my guilt was soon forgotten.
  • okay, I realize this will be a complete uo... But I was up at the cabin this weekend and allowed myself to enter the candy/ice cream shop. Ordered an enormous waffle cone full of black licorice ice cream (my favorite). It was absolutely glorious, and I don't feel even a little bit guilty about it.

  • This will be a UO but I do not like Oreos. They gross me out. Actually any packaged cookie I usually don't like (maybe I'm spoiled lol). But chewy warm chocolate chip cookies hold my heart! And now excuse me while I go bake chocolate chip cookies lol

I saw the burger king cake but couldn't pull the trigger...Now that you said it's delicious I'll have to go back. As far as @nmwheel1 goes...shuuuuuun the non believers! Oreos 4 lyfe
  • While I love me some cookies, I'm usually too lazy to bake them and I'm not a fan of store bought. BUT. I discovered the most delicious double chocolate chip muffin recipe. And now I bake those regularly. And will probably bake some today because I'm thinking about them now.

Me and the Dough Boy go way back.  He and Lil' Debbie are usually my best pals when I'm upset.  It hurts that we can't hang for the next few months.  Thank God for naturally high metabolisms or I'd be about 600lbs.  lol.

I'm definitely going to be looking for these at the grocery store when I go today! They sound pretty amazing! I'm going to have to hide them from DH though... he is a bit obsessed with any kind of Oreo!
  • I, too, was expecting something much more serious than choosing a name. Something literally all of us have to do.

Also, Walmart sells boxes of cookie mixes that have two separate batches in one box. I think that's genius because I can buy a box, make and eat a batch, and then save the other for later.

Also, have you all tried microwave mug cakes yet? It's old news for some, but if you mix a spoonful of nutella in with the batter before you cook it, it gets dangerously good.
  • I to was ready for something heart breaking, a real hard decision....

On the other hand I was contemplating making chocolate chip cookies today and now I have easily made up myind on my "really hard decision" and am totally going to make them. Thanks OP, man being a parent and having to make these kind of decisions is just tough :)

That is amazing. I made cake mix the other day just so I could eat the batter... I didn't even attempt to make cake or cupcakes ( no shame)

I actually broke out the culinary torch to make some this past weekend. It's way too hot to be outside around a fire!

    That is so unfair.

If you want to eat as much raw cookie dough as you want to without any of the raw egg risk: substitute each egg with 1/4 cup yogurt. (Double the rising agent if you're actually baking them.)

    Edit: words are hard.
  • I made an Oreo ice cream shake last week. And this weekend we had some friends over and I made an Oreo poke cake. I heart all things Oreo. And my husband sure doesn't mind it either!
