My SO is "sick" (threw up once..) and oh my god, better start writing his will. He's acting like he is dying! He needed medicine, then juice, but I brought him too much, then water, then a wash cloth for his head, then it wasn't cold enough, then just half of a cracker to get the taste out of his mouth, NOT a whole cracker! oh and the dog is too close to him so I need to persuade our huge sleeping Doberman to move (how?!!).. Oh and I need to do all this without turning on a single light because it hurts his head to have lights on -_- really?? I'm the huge, pregnant one! I've thrown up a thousand times! When do I get to cash in this baby card?? When I'm throwing up, he yells from the couch "you ok?" And that's it.

I thought I was having a baby, didn't realize I already had one -___-

Men... So "strong and superior" to women..
Good thing he's not the pregnant one

  • These comments crack me up but I also sympathize. Men just don't get it [pregnancy]. Have you seen The Try Guys Do Pregnancy on YouTube?! Yeah........ make him watch that!

Or the videos where doctors try to simulate labor on men?

I am generally not a gender basher but when it comes to being sick or in pain it's a little pitiful to see grown men act like little ones when they get so much as a cold.

On an aside, I've been told that premature and/or sick girls recover faster and easier than boys in most cases. So who knows! Probably some biological thing within us to be able to handle all this.

  • Lmao men are the worst. The second I hear or notice my DH get a single sniffle I know "the worlds about to end." I wish I could just send him to a hotel when he's sick cause I can't stand being around him lol but god forbid with my giant belly and back pain and I drop something I get "can't you get it yourself?" Men...lol
  • Reading the comments makes me realize how lucky I am to have a SO that tries to man up and take care of himself when he's sick, he won't let me do anything for him except make food, he usually just wants to be left alone lol I would slap the crap out of my SO if he tried to be a baby when I'm over here carrying his child 24/7
  • Mine transforms into an infant as well. But he knows it. He gets really clingy and doesn't like to be left alone. We have the same hatred towards vomiting to I get a little sympathy when he actually is around to see, hear or clean it up. Otherwise I just get the "that sucks, what's for dinner?"
  • Don't worry everyone. He's alive. -_- he woke up like "I feel so much better, I thought I was dying"
When we first started dating/living together id love to be the sympathetic girl to take care of him..
Now at 8 months pregnant, I want to kill him! I puke all the time, I have 99 other problems that when I tell him about he just tells me I'm pregnant. -_-
BUT he pukes once and is dying.
  • If men carried babies the human race would die.. Once he threw up in the first trimester it would be over.
How can men be so manly about some things but fall apart at a tummy ache???
  • Mine refuses to believe in allergies. Right now in upper new york connecticut area its ragweed season. Just started blooming. I have been stuffy and my sinus' hurt and all that but him... oh my god its like he's dying. I now have to suffer a hot living room because he believes the air conditioner is the culprit; not allergies which do not exist. He believes the ac was too cold in the room one night he woke up a little stuffy and his logic goes from there to he now has a cold from the AC. When he is on the lawn mower he has no sneezing fits but as soon as he is back in the ac he sneezes all day... I have to find some evidence to support my claim that its allergies because he truly believes he would sneeze out in the allergen infested air if it were allergies. Also as soon as I fall asleep on the couch he turns the fan off as well and that im really p oed about. Your depriving me of the ac when I am 2 weeks away from giving birth (give or take) and then you have the nerve to turn the ceiling fan off? I needed it when I was awake did I magically not need it when I am asleep? Think about my needs for a minute!!! I took a shower last night before dinner and needed another by bed time from sweat Thanks Husband...
  • lol, my husband does the same thing when he is sick but pretty much ignores me when the tables are turned. At least he is being better about helping me now. He still huffs and puffs if I ask him to do something but he does it!
  • Men are weenies when they are sick. :)
