Mixed babies?

I am half Korean and half everything else (french, german, scottish, irish, and native american). People often mistake me for being Hawaiian. My husband has blondish-brown hair and blue/teal/gray eyes. I know he has some English and native American in him, but he is not sure of what the rest is. I absolutely cannot wait to see what our little one will look like.

Anyone else having a baby that will be an interesting mix?

  • Thank you. Congratulations to you as well! His family says that they want the baby to be a girl with black hair and his eyes but I'm pretty sure you can't just put in a request like that ;)
  • My husband is half Filipino, and I'm Caucasian. Our first LO looks just like DH but has my fair skin and light hair. I'll be interested to see what this second LO looks like.
  • No, I definitely will be having a blonde hair blue eyes baby as my husband and I are both that; however your baby sounds beautiful with all those ethnicities complimenting one another! Congrats!

We thought the same thing with our first because all the boys in DH's family were born with bright blonde hair and blue eyes...our DS was born with blue eyes and beautiful coppery red hair. Huge surprise and everyone always wants to know where he gets it from. So you might be surprised :)

  • My husband is Black (with a mixed up background of white and Native American) and I'm Latina with a very mixed background (Native American, Jewish, African, European, Chinese and a few other things. My kids look mixed most people can't place them just by looking at them.
  • The only "unique" bit ours will have is maybe blue or hazel eyes.

My friend, however, is a mix of Aleut and Scottish and her husband is Mexican. Cutest. Freaking. Baby.
  • My boy friend is full plains Cree (native) and I'm metis, mostly English though. But I always get mixed for Asian (my favorite was when I got told I look mongolian, my grandparents are from Quebec and whales) and he gets told he looks Mexican? lol so I'm eager to see how our little one will turn out. My daughter came out looking exactly like me. So I can only wonder if our next will look any different.
  • My boyfriend is Puerto Rican, Irish, German, and Indian. I am German and Italian we are very excited to see what our little baby looks like
  • My husband is Australian, with Canadian and Scottish blood, I'm Filipino with mixed Spanish

This wont be a visible mix, but I'm a mutt to the fullest extent, and DH is from Poland.  So our child will actually be 50% Polish :-)

Our family of 5 is complete!!  Love our boys!

  • My nephew is a quarter Korean and the rest is mostly German. He has light brown hair, freckles and Hazel eyes but you can still tell he has some Korean features. He's adorable.

My baby will most likely be super pale as I'm Irish and German and DH is mostly German. Hair will most likely be medium brown and the biggest surprise will be whether the baby has blue or Hazel eyes.

Maybe not THAT interesting (we're both white), but there are some genes in both sides of the family that may or may not show up.

My husband and I both have brown hair, and brown/green eyes, but in my family many people have very dark hair and eyes and on his side lots are blonde or red-haired with blue eyes. There could be some interesting combinations in our future, but we're pretty sure our kids will be blond at least as children, because we both were.

  • I'm swedish and Cherokee. DH is black, white, asian and Cherokee. Our son looks almost brazilian, very light hair and skin that looks like he has a beautiful tan. However, my family has strong blue eyed genes. It almost always wins out over everything else. I'm hoping this baby gets the blue eyes and the beautiful dark skin. I can't wait to see.
  • I'm Black/Scottish/Irish and our donor is German/Dutch/Creole/French/Spanish. In his kiddy pics he's very pale with dark hair and dark eyes. We have absolutely NO clue what this baby will look like and that's beyond thrilling!
  • My husband is Palestinian and I am an Irish/Italian mix. We both share similar features (fair skin, dark hair, dark eyes), but also both have dark skin tones and light hair and eyes between our siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins. No telling what will happen!
  • This wont be a visible mix, but I'm a mutt to the fullest extent, and DH is from Poland.  So our child will actually be 50% Polish :-)

This is close to me. My mother is first generation from Poland. My father is mutt. My grandfather gave me the nickname of polbilly.

  • My husband and I are both white but look nothing alike. I am of French/Irish decent with pale skin, freckles, green eyes and red hair. My husband is of Native American/German decent with darker skin, dark brow hair and brown eyes. I have lots of red heads in my family and he has mainly brown/blond hair on his side. I would love a red headed baby! I won't get my hopes up though.
  • We will be in for a big surprise. My husband is full Moroccan and I'm full Somali . It's hard to picture what my baby might look like.

Awe sad!! my MIL can't think of anyone with red hair in the past few generations and I'm adopted (red hair comes from both parents) so who really knows. He lost a lot of hair around 3 months so I thought it would come in blonde but luckily we got the red back!! :)

  • DH and I are pretty much as Anglo-Saxon as they come (dentists can tell my heritage cause of my distinct Anglo Saxon teeth). But we both have a lot of recessive genes. He has dark brown hair but a red beard and I'm blonde. There are full red heads on either side so I wouldn't be surprised if Lo has red hair.

  • I'm half black, half Chinese. Husband is white. I have dark hair and eyes and hubby is really pale with hazel eyes. Our son is almost as dark as I am, with dark brown hair and blue eyes. He's really interesting looking. No idea what this new baby will look like. It's a toss up once you start mixing the genes.
  • I'm half Swedish, half Native American and look Native American. My husband is blonde haired and blue eyed. Our son has blonde hair and green eyes. I can't wait to see what this baby looks like!
  • I'm White and DH is Black (with a little Native American). Our DD looks almost exactly like DH with my hair texture and squinty eyes. People ask me all the time, "What is she mixed with?" Some have guessed Asian or Hispanic. People also ask if I'm her mother.

It will be interesting to see if this LO looks more like DH or me!

Lol--same here with redheads. As my first son's head was crowning, my husband shouts, "Oh my God! He's got red hair!!" And I just about killed him. I think my words were, "Shut up!!!!!" Not because I didn't want a redhead! It just wasn't the time at the most painful part of labor!! But he stayed a redhead. Looks just like my DH's sister!
  • My husband is half Yupik Eskimo and half German. I'm mostly Russian.
  • I'm all types of Western European and DH is half Japanese and half all types of Western European

Our family of 5 is complete!!  Love our boys!

  • The boyfriend and I are both full german. He has an olive complexion, full thick black beard, black hair, and big round piercing blue eyes. I have chestnut hair, almond hazel green eyes, and an olive complexion.
So, no doubt our LO will likely have dark olive skin and a somewhat dark hair color, the eyes are completely up in the air. Let's just hope she gets me nose, at least-lol
  • Well... I don't know about interesting! I'm full Chinese and the Daddy is French Canadian! :)
  • My husband is black islander (his mother is from Trinidad and tobego) and has a family history of light blue and green eyes. I'm Irish and German and have a family history of freckles, red hair, and light eyes. Who knows what features our child will end up with!

But regardless, they will of course be perfect to us :)

I'm from Trinidad and Tobago! Hi!!!
  • We're expecting half Japanese 1/4 Italian 1/4 Irish twins...can't wait!
  • We are both Caucasian, but both have an even mix of blondes/brunettes/redheads in the family. I have blue eyes and he has hazel, im english white and he is tanned etc etc so our baby could turn up with anything! We are both lefties though so we do really wonder if he/she will be righty or lefty! (I am only one in whole family including extended but DHs family is mixed)
  • I am having half dutch and half chinese baby. Can't wait to see how he/she will look like.
  • I'm Swedish/Estonian/Irish/Scottish a couple generations back and hubby is a British/German background. Strangely though, I have a pretty dark complexion - dark brown hair and eyes and I tan really easily. Both my hubby and I have curly hair, so I'm hoping the baby gets a curly little fro;) hopefully my darker complexion too cause my hubby burns really easily. Can't wait to find out!!;)
  • My husband is half Filipino, half Caucasian. I am half Italian, the rest is Native American and French. I am a pale redhead! No one ever believes my ancestry! Even when I'm second generation Italian lol

Our son is seriously so beautiful, I can't wait to see what characteristics little #2 has. I think all of your babies will be gorgeous!
  • I am African American and my husband is Korean. NO idea what to expect but we have fun looking through pictures of little "blackorean" babes to get a possible idea :)
