So my LO has had a diaper rash for about 10 days. It started off really bad, we put triple paste on her, it got better & has been fluctuating since then, even with the paste & airing out.

ANYWAYS, I keep hearing how breast milk works wonders & heals things. Do you think it could help her rash or wouldn't be good for it b/c, well it's milk?

Well it's certainly worth a shot! Lol. I tried rubbing extra breast milk on my son's face while nursing because he was getting pimples but I don't really think it helped.

If it is reoccurring, you may want to check with your Pediatrician--could be a yeast or bacterial rash. My DD kept having what turned out to be a reoccurring yeast rash, and we had to get a prescription cream for it...

Mine also had a rash with bumps and doc prescribed an ointment which took care of it but it kept coming back. I tried California baby candula cream, a bit pricey but no more rash

I used cold BM on a washcloth and let it air dry when my DS had it bad. Now I switch creams all the time and use them after every diaper change, even though it's a little extra work when he wakes in the middle of the night. I switch between Burts Bees, Boudreauxs butt paste and Babyganics ointment. Seems to work.

We had a severe diaper rash with sores. I tried breast milk per lactation consultant and over the counter creams + airing it out. In the end none of that was going to get rid of it because we needed a antibiotic and fungal prescription cream. Although airing it did seem to help. Also try water only (water wipes or a dry cloth that you just wet with water) and pat to clean baby, no wiping.

We've used coconut oil, and more recently just plain Vaseline and Honest Co Bottom Wash spray when DS poops... Hasn't had a rash sine the first time (when we were using diaper cream) weeks ago
