I've been so indecisive about what I want to post....and when....but did this spontaneously the other day and think I may use it. I was thinking of posting when I turn 12 weeks on Sunday. Thoughts???

We aren't announcing for another 2 weeks (I'll be 16 weeks) due to a good friend's wedding being next week. Because we knew we were already going to know the sex, I wanted to wait so we could incorporate it!

Anyway, this is what we're going with... (Backstory is this is one of DH's favorite local street artists. I got him one piece for his 30th and we commissioned the baby one for our announcement.)
True Chicagoans always "gotta guy" for nearly anything you can think of. We happened to have a guy who could change the marquee at Metro for us. (Blacked out our last name on the marquee, for privacy reasons)
The Metro onesie is on our baby registry! I love this announcement! My husband I have a story involving me spilling a drink all over him at the Metro Smart Bar, and somehow, HE was was one who was asked to leave! This was right before we started officially dating. Great memories there. I love this announcement! Congrats from Bridgeport!!

We just posted a pic from our gender reveal party yesterday with the caption "February will be a big month with a sweet family addition." I'm 14 weeks 2 days.
Saw this gem on my FB feed the day I'm planning to announce... 'Haha'(???)
I hate expecting jokes like that...I'm sure it stems from loss and my first lost was too close to April fools and I had to read a lot of those horrible "jokes"
Where the blur is that's our last name, we are both music teachers/musicians we announced it to extended family and friends yesterday and our close family and friends came over for a gender reveal yesterday too. 15 weeks pregnant... I'm so excited!!

I'm sorry. I didn't like the joke either, and I can only imagine how you must have felt seeing such things when you were grieving. People aren't very sensitive to issues around TTTC and m/c in the general public, I've noticed. I hope this changes in time. I actually even feel sad posting my announcement on FB knowing it could be triggering someone in some way, unbeknownst to me.

We announced ours yesterday! I'll be 16 weeks on Friday. It said "Team Urbik is expanding by one!". Options are limited when your husband is gone for a month
We're still debating how we want to announce, but this is one that I have been working on. We won't announce until next week once I've made it out of the first trimester.
My mother just announced for me on Facebook despite me explicitly asking her not to because I wasn't ready for it to be on FB just yet.
