I got too distracted to confess anything earlier so now I will:
-We bought stuff to make this chili dip for the football game tonight and I almost cried when I couldn't make it and just eat the entire bowl for lunch
-We picked blackberries so that I could make pie four days ago and I still haven't
-My house is a huge mess right now and I'm bumping and not cleaning....
What is this chili dip you speak of?
Oooh it's so good. Okay it's a package of cream cheese and a can of Hormel chili with no beans, stick in a bowl in the microwave, then when it's all hot and mixed up together, mix in some shredded cheddar cheese, then put some cheese on top, then enjoy with tortilla chips!
My family loves it for games and parties so we always double it. I've been looking forward to it for... four hours now.
---quote fail-----
I need this in my life.
It seems so simple but it's so deliciously addicting.
Omg, I bought a white chili kit at the grocery store this week and dh thought I was nuts. It's like 90+ here every day, so I may just have to make it for myself
My FFFC: laundry isn't a huge deal to me and usually gets done, but I can't remember the last time I cleaned my toilets or even changed my sheets...and it's not much different when I'm not pregnant.
Is it creepy or gross that when I read this I thought "I'll clean your toilets if you do my laundry..."?
My sister's best friend is having a baby (their first) and their due date is two days ahead of me. That's nice for them, but since this is the first baby in my family, and I'm selfish, all I can really think is that they'd better not steal my thunder.
Edited for grammar fail.
Someone in my family or DH's is ALWAYS pregnant it seems like. His cousin is pregnant now and luckily is choosing some ridiculous name for her baby, so we don't have to worry about them. We had just commented to ourselves that the boy name we love is pretty popular but that we had never met anyone with that name, so we felt good about choosing it. DH's best friend's wife is a gestational carrier for 2 other friends, and she just told me today they found out it's a boy and they're using this name. What a buzzkill lol thunder stolen.
We have a block party this weekend (that I've known about for months) and we're supposed to bring a dish to pass. Usually I try to make something really good for something like this, but 1. I'm super lazy right now and just want to spend as much time as I can relaxing this weekend, and 2. It's going to be like 90 degrees so nothing is going to be edible sitting outside for very long. SO, I got chips and French onion dip from the grocery store and that's my contribution. That counts as a dish to pass, right?

That's the same stuff I make! We only make it for the super bowl and if our college team gets a bowl game (which they almost always do) because it's so addicting, we'll eat an entire bowl in just a couple minutes! I had it for the first time all the way back when I was a Brownie so it's a major blast from the past for me
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD, SOMEONE BRING ME SOME CHILI, CHIPS, AND ONION DIP.
Aaaaaand now I want a beer with it.
Actually after I posted that I realized that the real struggle will be to not eat it tonight. I guess I could always go back out and get something tomorrow.... TEMPTING.
H is on a major diet so my house is full of veggies, lean meat, and other boring foods. I've been travelling for work and am loving PIGGING OUT. Last night I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and quesadilla and today I ate a cupcake and Chinese food. and I'm not telling H he would judge me so hard...

K now all I can think about is exactly this. And I don't even like beer. But it just works in my mind. And it's dinner time here--legitimately hungry and legitimately want chili and beer. I get hungry early like an old lady.

I just slept from 4-715. I can't deal with a hyper dog and "I'm bored" husband. I woke up and he left to play golf so our living room looks like a murder scene. Dog decided to un-stuff all of her toys. And I'm not cleaning it up! Jerks
Ditto! She took a 2.5 hour nap today of course because I couldn't get comfortable and fall asleep with her. Now it's 8 pm and I'm laying in bed because I'm exhausted

I was too busy arguing with WKs on the internet. Worst waste of a naptime EVER.

Hahshahaha I was on here reading and catching up with all of that stuff! I also made my target baby registry while she napped. Sort of productive. I realized that my old registry was still searchable and that I could delete it! I assumed those things just deleted after so long (a month or two)
@tigeraj8170 - Sorry for your loss. I had a MC in February and know what you mean about putting things off. I can't even think about buying anything for the baby or getting the nursery ready or anything like that right now. Hopefully I'll feel better about everything once I have my NT ultrasound next week. Likewise, hopefully once you get into the doctor and see that baby it will all be more real! Many OBs don't even see want to see you until 12 weeks so you are doing fine.
@geojam224 - I'm not strong-willed enough for team green! This is my first, so I imagine there are enough surprises in store for me down the road. I'd be thrilled for either sex and just want a healthy baby, but if the opportunity to know presents itself I'm going to latch on to it. Plus, I'm scared to death and feel like knowing the sex might be calming and help me visualize a healthy pregnancy. Good luck holding out if that's what you want! I wish I could!

Hey, sounds like a decent trade to me! Better than hiring someone to clean the toilets like I've been considering for a while, but there I go with first world problems on the wrong thread...
My FFFC; I have some friends that are complaing on FB how they are broke and have no food but they go out every weekend, eat better food than I do or so they post on FB, and live in a nicer more expensive area of town than I do. I don't feel sorry for them when they are causing their own problems.
I left my husband of almost 18 years one year ago tomorrow. It was the scariest thing I've done, but now I have everything I never knew I could have and I've done more than he ever thought I could. I got my shopping addiction under control, getting my finances in order, and bought a house all by myself. I'm proud of myself but still feel horrible for what I put him through.
Good for you!!! I mean that you have come out on the other side stronger than before. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult that must have been for you. It was hard enough for me to leave my ex husband of 2 years. I totally understand what you mean by feeling bad for what you put him through. I also feel that way sometimes, but at the end of the day, it's your happiness that you are stuck with and you can't put it aside for someone else. Life moves on, they move on, and we're better for it. Happy for you
@cbou I'm sorry for your loss as well. I haven't thought about buying anything either. My mom and aunt crochet and knit and I told them both that they aren't allowed to even think about making something for baby until the "possible loss" stage is over completely. I also crochet and won't make anything for the baby until I'm sure everything is going great.
I keep hearing that most doctors won't see patients until week 12, but I've also seen where those with previous losses were asked to come in earlier than that, so I wasn't sure and have been feeling ashamed for letting fear get into my head like it did.
I promise everyone that once I get appointments and see a doctor, I will inform y'all. Thank y'all so much for your kind words. Internet hugs to everyone! :-)
@tigeraj8170 - My understanding is that they are only concerned and have you come in for earlier checkups if you have had more than one loss. I had a bedside US at 8 weeks simply because I was freaking out and requested it.
Pregnancy has brought on a hatred of cuddling for me. Every time DH tries to hug me or spoon me or even put his arm around me I feel claustrophobic and have to get away asap. Every thing else in the bedroom is fine and I'm still physically attracted to him I just really want my space.
@oregontrailmom yes! I feel bad because I can tell it hurts his feelings. But it's hard enough to get comfortable lately and his arm around me or spooning is just too much! I just want my space! When he goes to work is when I get my best sleep!

Pretty much… I have had 3 (very early) miscarriages and my first appt was around 8 weeks like everyone else. The NP actually called me to see if I wanted to come in earlier but I declined. I feel super chill this pregnancy for some strange reason, I honestly can't explain it.
@tigersaj8170 I wouldn't feel bad for waiting, I think its perfectly fine!
