September IUIs

So I've been following the August IUI board but my IUI most likely won't take place until August 30th or 31st so my TWW and everything will occur in September. I wanted to start up a new board for anyone that knew they would be having an IUI at the very end of August or into September. This will be IUI number 3 for me. The 1st two were with an OB. I was on 50mg of clomid and used a trigger shot. Excellent results both times but still a BFN. This time I'll be with an RE and possibly on injectables. I think it will be a much more aggressive treatment. I should get my period around the 17th. Once, I do I need to schedule an ultrasound during the 1st 3 days of my period. I have never had an ultrasound while bleeding and it sounds awful! I'm hoping the third time is the charm because if it isn't we'll probably have to move on to IVF. I'd love to hear from others who are on similar schedules.

I will jump in on this group. My AF is due 12th or 13th and I'll probably do IUI 8/27 or 8/28, depending on when AF comes. I will be on 2ww in September. My 1st IUI did not work, so this will be round 2 for me. Now I just hope AF doesn't decide to come late this month for the 1st time.

@lilmissslp Have you had AF yet? Once you do go in for ultrasound, its not that bad. I usually have very light periods, so It wasn't that bad for me.

Still up in the air since I'm still waiting on some test results, but it looks like I will likely be doing my first IUI in September. My AF comes mid-month and if I need to be on thyroid meds for a few weeks first, I might need to jump to October, but I'll cross that bridge if I come to it.

@lilmissslp - Thank you! Yes VERY anxious! LOL! On the other hand, since high TSH levels could contribute to a higher risk of miscarriage, I'm more than willing to get that silly thyroid under control even if it means waiting an extra month.

Hello all! Hope you don't mind if I jump in on this board. AF came yesterday so I will probably have my 3rd IUI in a couple weeks. That will put the 2ww into September. I take 7.5mg of femara and the HCG trigger shot. Last month it produced 2 nice size follies on my left which is great because my right tube appears to be blocked. Hopes, prayers, fingers crossed that we have BFPs this cycle!! [-O<

Yes, the letrozole produces the results my doctor is looking for so I will probably try it again. I am just getting over a chemical pregnancy so I know the meds worked. I think my doctor wants to do up to 4 cycles with letrozole then switch to injectibles for another 3-4 cycles. I just pray that non of us have to go thru that many cycles.

AF started today so I'm officially in September group. Have appt with RE tomorrow for U/s and would like to try Femara this round.

Yes I am. I wish AF would come this week. I'm stressed because I go back to work Monday and hate to take time off for a dr appointment right when I go back.

DH and I should be on our first IUI in September!!! We are so excited! But my cycle should not start until the first week of September so I will be doing the IUI and two week wait later in the month. Birthday is sept 27 soooo a BFP would be a great present

We are working with an RE now. We were with an OBGYN for the first year but have moved on...hopefully to more success!

AF came today, and we're not doing our first IUI until NEXT cycle, so I'm probably looking at the IUI in very late September, with my 2ww in early October. Is it ok if I am in both groups since I'll be "straddling" months?

Just got back from RE and starting clomid tomorrow. Should have IUI around the 27th or 28th and on 2WW through September. RE didn't want me to go on Femara. Changing to injections and suppositories and he said my chances will greatly increase. FX!

@amos1417 I'm not sure why he didn't want to go that route. He just shook his head No and said the injections and changing clomid to 1 a day instead of 2 will be better for me. I also asked his nurse and she said he really prefers clomid and sees better results, so I just left it at that.

Very interesting! I was just curious. I think my doctor might switch to injectables soon if the next cycle doesn't work. Cant wait for the first US next week!

@lilmissslp Thanks!! I was on clomid 50mg (CD3-5) and I did my ovidrell (250mg) trigger shot on Thursday night at 11:00
What med's are you on? And when is your IUI scheduled?

@Colleen0516 that's the same protocol I've done my previous cycles. I'm not sure the meds this time. I go for my day 1-5 US on Wednesday and will find out then. I'm pretty sure we're adding injections like Gonal F or Follistim. My IUI won't be until around the 30th or 31st.
