Sex? What's that? Over 12 weeks PP and still haven't tried.

Here's a bit of a TMI story for you...At 6 weeks I was medically cleared as having no problems. A couple weeks after that I felt something wasn't right but thought I was just being squeamish and paranoid about my poor lady bits. I let it go since they cleared me. At 11 weeks I decided I should probably get checked out because I still felt weird down there. Had my appointment this past Monday and my OB said 1) I have a prolapse and 2) my labia partially FUSED together!!! WTF? So now I have to use a cream for a month and if that doesn't work I need to get them lasered (WTF x 2) apart. So H isn't getting any for a long long time. I feel broken.

Does anyone feel like their relationship is suffering from not having sex? I don't feel like a wife anymore really, I'm mommy all the time. We haven't even had a date night yet...

I have been really reluctant to DTD- but last week we made a "sex date" and well, it went okay. The physical part wasn't all too exciting, but the connecting and loving and the feeling of togetherness was really wonderful and totally worth getting over being squeamish. And I'm not without my complications. TMI... dealing with hemorrhoids and oddly shaped lady parts!

Kidney stones and UTI certainly don't sound like a picnic either!

H has been seriously awesome about the no sex thing. We didn't have it for months prior to birth either so it's been a long time. I'm fine without it but feel so bad for him. We do other intimate stuff instead like once a week but it's always rushed because of worrying about LO waking up from a nap or whatever. I don't really feel like our relationship is suffering that much. We try to do other things to show that we appreciate each other. It's hard though.

Why haven't you had a date night yet? I bet that would really help! We've only had one date night and I was worried the whole time and we ended up cutting it short (just dinner instead of dinner and a movie). Now that LO is 3 months though we might try to get a few more in.

Almost 12 weeks pp and no sex. I had some minor bleeding this week and tried a tampon and that killed me. I don't want to imagine what sex will be like! I hope my husband doesn't resent me for this, but I have no desire and I am too nervous!

12 weeks pp and we've had sex twice. DH definitely would like to more but I have no desire and I'm totally worried that DS will wake up while we are in the middle of DTD. It feels extremely rushed which is just a major turn off for me. And I'm so distracted worrying that DS will wake up that I can't even enjoy the foreplay. I'm hoping that once DS has a more consistent bedtime and is sleeping through the night that I'll have more energy and won't feel so worried.

We have had it once in 13 weeks and it was in between feeling good and hurting! Also awkward with the baby and dog sleeping a arm length away.

Oh and my boobs use to be a big part of the equation now I tell him if he even looks at my boobs I will cut him!! Or they are your sons boobs now, don't touch!! Poor hubby.. Lol

I'm 11 weeks pp and I've been dying to do it.. However my DH is overseas with the military since LO was 2 weeks old. Soooo needless to say I'm getting anxious.. He comes home Tuesday though! Yay!

I'm 12 weeks PP. Had sex with my DH twice so far. First time was awful and painful. He kept bothering me about it afterwards- asking me if we would ever have sex again, or if I found him to be disgusting. I have to constantly explain the "it's me, not you" routine. Second time was different, I initiated it and it was wonderful! However we didn't use protection and I ended up getting the Plan B the next day, even though I'm on the mini pill. Not ready for the second one this early! Stupid me.

I think we've had sex 4 times now.. 13 weeks PP. I just don't have a huge drive... it's work to me these days. I love knowing that DH wants me, but I don't really feel up to it most nights. My friend just became a Pure Romance consultant so I bought a couple of things from her to hopefully change things up a bit... we are also planning our first overnight date in a few weeks for our anniversary. Hopefully I can relax and not worry about LO and make use of that hotel room!!

Those who have tried.. Does it still hurt?? I'm almost 16 weeks pp and it still hurts. DH just thinks it's because we "don't do it enough" but I'm nor convinced.. Not sure at what point I should call my OB though?? It sucks :-(

I can't help, c-section here. PP sex never hurt (vaginally).

Just did it for the first time, 12 weeks pp. no pain at all! I feel less sensitive however :-(

I'm curious when it stops hurting as well!! We tried for the first time the other day (11 weeks pp) and I definitely had some pushing flashbacks with it. Bummer since I was the one pushing the sexual relations lol. I was super happy to have some closeness/intimacy at least!!

We bit the bullet so to speak. It definitely hurt. Like a burning/stinging, hopefully it gets better with frequency. DH was like you need to see a doctor it's not supposed to hurt. I told him we had to try more before that step is taken lol. 13 weeks pp btw

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is painful... We have only done it maybe 4 times so maybe it does get better with time.. Or maybe I need a better lubricant. Idk

I had a c-section and it still hurts for me! My Dr said that my natural juices are pretty much gone and will not replenish until about 6 months after I stop breastfeeding. My DH was mortified. I believe this is why it's not so pleasant for me, even with lots of lube.

13 weeks PP & sex is finally good. But not in any positions I used to like, in fact the ones I hated are the ones that work best now. I agree it's less sensitive now, but it did hurt the first few times. I tried to suck it up and deal with it hoping it would get better and it did. It took probably a good 5 times and each time I had to mentally prepare. I was so scared he would hit something too deep, something would tear, etc. but when you relax and don't tense up it actually doesnt hurt as bad as if you tense and think about it. Which is why I think the positions have changed extremely. Now there are no issues except the occasional dry spell which is the only reason now that the experience is bad.
