So I had read about the timing of growth spurts that LO has passed and shrugged it off because there was really no change in him. But oh man the 3 month spurt!!!! LO is 13 weeks tomorrow. He has been all out of sorts the past 5 days or so.. Starting with sleep regression at night (we went from 8-10 hours straight and now waking 2-3 times) and today eating frequently and crying himself hoarse. To top it off, the pediatrician thinks he is teething. Yikes!! Anyone else feeling this or passed it already?? If you've already been there how long did it last?? Little man is breaking my heart!
Re: Let's talk about that growth spurt..
I didn't notice his 6 week growth spurt and the 3 week one he didn't feed more than usual but wouldn't let me put him down. There were 3 nights in a row that I "slept" in our glider. It was awful.
Last night he seemed to like having his legs rubbed. Which makes sense since if it's a growth spurt then he's probably feeling growing pains. Just a suggestion to try when LO is extra fussy!
Hoping I don't even really notice this upcoming spurt... although she has been a bit more fussy and clingy... here we go!!
I did nurse him after trying to rock him back to sleep with no luck. It was a 50/50 chance it would work. If I did nurse him, it was only a few minutes and he fell asleep. No bad habits resulted for us. In my mind it helped the process of the growth spurt a little more bearable for us both. He is back to sleeping and eating normally. He doesn't need to nurse to fall asleep, either. I think nursing for comfort during this time for your boy can only help make the transition a little bit easier. And you'll get back to sleep quicker
