My first dog, a Maltese, is named Pennie because I liked the name. Then I got a shihtzu and named him copper! It especially fit because his coloring is white and copper brown!
I have Alvin my 7 year old flame point Siamese mix and Little Miss Lucy Lulu, aka Little Miss, aka Lucy, aka Lulu, aka Baby Girl, my 2 year old black long hair cat. We also have Youkilis, aka Youki, named after my boyfriend's favorite baseball player. Youki is a 5 year old boxer.
ETA - the cats were both rescues. Alvin was an acquaintance from high school's cat and her daughter was allergic. She was about to take him to the pound when I took him. Lucy is a tornado survivor. She was found in the rubble of a house after the 2013 tornado in Moore that destroyed 2 schools and took the lives of 7 children. She was only a few days old when they found her and her mother had perished. She still freaks out whenever she hears tornado sirens which is every other Saturday at noon.
Ours are unfortunately not living with us right now but with family as our apartment does not allow pets (boooooooooo!) and our first kitty has disappeared (probably gone for good) but I love her so I'm listing her anyway!
Snickerdoodle - Doodle (nickname) - Madame Snickerdoodle Blackfoot (ridiculous fancy proper name that we never use)
She's a tan and black tabby that we got as a kitten 6 years ago. She was MY kitty and every day I got home from work she would jump on the counter and stretch as far as she could towards me to pick her up, then cling on my shoulder and purr so much that she'd drool a little sometimes - I miss her
Panini - Nini (nickname) - Sir Peter Panini (ridiculous fancy proper name that we never use)
He's a grey kitty with white patches on his neck and tummy and a slightly different grey muzzle. He is a big fat fatty cat now, but I love the fuzzball! He is the hubbs kitty, he ran away for a week one time and we thought he was gone for good, but then one night we heard meowing outside and he had come home to us! We got him as a kitten too about 5 years ago and he was a little wild barn kitty, but he's the most needy lap cat now that you will ever meet! He will follow you meowing for attention and if you go in the shower and close the door/curtain he will freak out thinking a shower monster is attacking you since he can't see you!
Lizzy - No nickname, just Lizzy - Lady Elizabeth of Derbyshire (ridiculous fancy proper name that we never use)
She's our youngest kitty and is the softest little furball ever! She's grey and white and looks bigger than she is because of all of her FUR! Long, fine, gets in your eyes fur! We got her as a kitten about 4 years ago, and she's really a shared kitty between me and the hubbs. She is definitely more independent than the others, but every time the hubby would play a video game she would jump in his lap and fall asleep there
I want my kitties back!!!
The crazy thing is I was totally a dog person until I married a man who had cats - our cats are the best! We made them so sweet and cuddly instead of mean and foot-attacky!
Jax is our 4 year old mutt. My husband calls him a greatest hits album because he is a mix of everything. From what we've been able to pinpoint he is mixed with (at least) wiener dog, jack Russell and chow chow.
Zoey is our 2 year old boxer pit bull mix. She is the sweetest dog you will ever me and she's so dang pretty! She's knows it too!

My Baby Girl does that. If you shut her out of the bathroom for any reason, she howls at the door. When you're showering, she'll often sit between the curtain and the liner and watch.
I have two cats, Thailand just turned 13 and Angola, she just turned 12. Both are rescues and are my children at least until February ☺.
Thailand will only drink water from the kitchen faucet while Angola will steal your popcorn. They still curl up together at night but won't be seen near one another during the day.
Clementine is my 9 year old English Setter and my first baby. Scruffy is a 1.5 Husky/ German Wire Haired Pointer. He is a wild man, but they are both so sweet and love to cuddle and play with each other and us.
We have a English Bulldog named Darla. If you know anything about Bulldogs we have named her tongue as well.... Judy. Darla the bulldog and Judy the Tongue They may, or may not, have their own hashtag.
We didn't name Rocco's tongue, but I have to ask lol, does her tongue quiver when she sniffs something really interesting? His tongue looks like it's shaking and he drips drool.
I have a long haired tortie cat named Vice President Questular Rontok. We call her Questular. She loves nap time because she will crawl under the covers and cuddle up for warmth. She is 8 years old.
I have a manx cat (breed with no tail) named MacGyver. For the first few years, she somewhat lived up to her name, catching mice and moths and the like, building bombs out of shoelaces and duct tape, the usual. As of late, she has totally let me down. She's put on winter weight and never shed it, consistently loses her balance, and falls asleep on the job.
We have a lab/pointer mix named Joakim (he goes by Joe) and we have a lab/border collie mix named Princess Georgia Sally Apple (she goes by Georgia). They are both rescues and I couldn't imagine a day without them.
The two oldest' bdays are a week apart. We actually know Holly's but we just picked one for Orlie.
All cats.
Over the years we have taken in numerous cats and litters of kittens to find them homes. This girl I worked with was moving and couldn't take her cats so her plan was to put them all outside.... It's rather expensive to take in litters or random cats because my cats always got ear mites or we would end up fixing one before it went to its home. I would take them all in and help find all of them homes if I had a giant house and endless money to help them all!
We have a 4 yo Yorkie-Bischon named Layla. We got her as a puppy and DS named her. He later told us there were "two Laylas in the world". Turns out a new girl named Layla had just started at his school that day.
Our yorkie-chihuahua is Aisley. We kind of thought up the name after going through a lot of others and not being able to decide. People usually say "paisley?" Or "Ainsley?" But then say it's a nice name. It has been good to see what happens when you choose a "different" name!
We had a kitten (cat) who was part Maine Coon. He weighed between 20-24 pounds. He answered to Masen or kitten. We had to surrender him to a no kill shelter because he didn't adjust well to our daughter. He was very stressed and had Health issues we couldn't afford to fix. I miss him every day.
We have 3 fur babies. Our cat is named circles he is 6 and he is the most loving kitty. Then we have Lexi. She is 5 and is a manchester terrier. Last is Bosco. He is 3 and is a boxer/pit mix. They are all the most spoiled pets in the world. I love them to death and baby all of them!!
We've got a 4 year old white lab named Poppy aka the Gordita Popita. We just adopted a 10 week old lab/rottie/chow mix named Beau. We also have a 16 year old cat that I've had since she was a kitten named Gabby who absolutely can't stand us.
Pluto- the 5 year old male King Charles purebred whom seems to think he is a cat. Jedda- the 6 month old female husky cross I don't know, but she looks like a tiny short haired German Shepard. Blake- a two year old female cat we found abandoned when she was just 4 weeks old.
We have a English Bulldog named Darla. If you know anything about Bulldogs we have named her tongue as well.... Judy. Darla the bulldog and Judy the Tongue They may, or may not, have their own hashtag.

Not bad.... We always laugh because she is a little attention whore and when she gets frustrated she will huff and puff with that tongue hanging out a good 3 inches... The site is priceless and very entertaining!

Hahaha. Rocco had his tongue out really far once, not usually though. We actually took a pic, bc it was so far out. He looks like the joker when he smiles. They aren't joking when they say Bulldogs have their own code of rules. We call it "errring" (probably the same as her huff and puff). He errs at you until you do whatever it is he wants. If it's his, it's his, if it's yours it's his, if it's broke it's his... He's 73lbs and thinks he's a lap dog, so heavy. Love everything about him, minus the health problems.
We have two ragdoll kitties. The orange and white one is named Mr. Nibbles. He is 2 1/2 years old. Our other kitty is actually his biological mother who we recently adopted and her name is Dreams. She is 8 years old. They are both in the 15 to 20 pound range and they are huge fluffy love bugs!
We have an almost 2yr old fawn boxer named Josephine but we call her Jojo or beana (because she kidney beans when she's happy). She's a spoiled princess.

I'm sorry you had to give up your kitty. That must have been so hard. Big hugs to you.
Re: Everyone has baby naming on the brain I'm sure! So what are the names of your furbabies?
Zoey is our 2 year old boxer pit bull mix. She is the sweetest dog you will ever me and she's so dang pretty! She's knows it too!
Cats: Layla, Gisbon (gibby, gibs, nibbles), Liberty (Libby)
I think the progression of names went Lucy->Lucy Goose->Lucy Boose->Goosey Boose-> Boose->Boodle.
Yes, we're crazy.
Baby F.......02/02/2016

1 hedgehog, 6 years old - snickers
Holly -5(almost 6)

My betta on my desk at work is Voldemort, but I refer to him as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
I also have:
Boston terrier - Capone
Miniature dachshund - Peanut
Cuddly giant tomcat - Klaus.
Bogey- golden retriever
Divot- cocker spaniel
Pluto- the 5 year old male King Charles purebred whom seems to think he is a cat.
Jedda- the 6 month old female husky cross I don't know, but she looks like a tiny short haired German Shepard.
