  • Dear contractions: either pick it up or put'er away. K, thanks.

This. Took the dog for a walk and the contraction pain was SO strong. The whole time I was crampy with a really sore tight belly. As soon as we got home and I sat down it was gone. Boo!
  • To my coworkers: Yes I'm "still here".  I'm "still here" like I have been.  So it's not news that I'm "still here", and we don't have to discuss the fact that I'm "still here".  When I'm not "still here", go ahead and comment away! Until then, it's not news!

This!!! C-section is scheduled for Wednesday so my last day at work will be tomorrow. Yes I am still here, and yes I am actually teaching the kids. Get over it people.

  • Another thing- my house has got gnats and they're driving me crazy!!

I just killed 2 in my bathroom.. soooo annoying!
  • My Dr going on vacay so close to my due date.

I'm due on Wednesday and my doctor just took a long vacation. Luckily, he got back this morning and baby is still cooking, I'm not sure what I would have done if I had gone into labor without him here. He was smart enough to not tell me that he was leaving, otherwise I think I would have been freaking out all week!
  • Well I hardly got any sleep last night because my LO was doing a cluster feed & then when she woke up at 5:45 she ate & stayed up til 7:50. I had just fallen asleep when someone starts ringing my doorbell at 8am!!! Oh I was not happy. I was going to ignore it but they kept ringing it. So I answered the door & it was the people to fix our air conditioner.. I'm happy they fixed it however they told us they would be at our house at a different time & day so it was unexpected.
  • Exactly! I get this all the time....

Dear Mother In Law and Sister In Law PLEASE STOP making indirect comments to me. First because your son and I decided to try out Honest diapers when out LO comes doesn't give you the right to make a comment on how the brand is expensive. FIRST WE are paying it not you. SECONDLY before the LO i was use to spending money on myself now its on my LO no longer me PLEASE stop saying I like expensive things UGH. Like before WERE spending not you. I had to take that out...phew and it's not even expensive thats what I don't get. I know if I can afford it alone I'm fine my BF and me are trying to buy a home and his mom and sister just want to put their two sense. I know how to budget I know after LO gets here I'm going to have to budget (which i already do) but apparently for the mom and sister I don't.

Honest diapers are the best! I did the math before we ordered. (We only used Huggies diapers and pampers wipes) and it pretty much evened out cost wise!

  • @athanaid sorry you had such a bad experience. I think it's so hard sometimes to walk that line between taking care of yourself and LO and not being the overreacting mom. I've been in for serious and not serious reasons and every time every nurse and provider always asks multiple times why I'm in like they've never communicated ever. Sounds like you made the right call!
@Boslove sorry that that happened! You'd think with all you're juggling that they would just ask you and make sure everything was fine and that night was just a fluke. I hope you're all doing well!

  • @Wering *insert sigh here* it's the absolute worst. I have to go to the hospital next week for my weekly, the day before his vacay he places me on bed rest! Which I guess is a good thing because I'm not comfortable with anyone else delivering my baby.

Lol, my H doesn't understand what "lockdown" means. Or bed rest for that matter! :))

I get this all of the time! If they ask me again. I may just punch someone!

    Heartburn, you are a bitch!
    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg.
  • So my supervisor contacted me the day my daughter was to come home from the NICU. She said she wanted to see us. I explained no one could be around her until she was older bc she was premature and it wasn't safe. She said that the real reason she wanted to come by was bc they LOST the insurance paperwork I had signed my last two weeks there for a patient I was working with. She needed me to sign them again. I told her that was inappropriate given that I no longer work there and I was recovering at home with my 2 week old that had just gotten home!

Well today she decided to contact me AGAIN about it. So frustrated!!!!
  • To the random elderly lady I met tonight at my husband's work function- I don't know you, and neither does he, so I would have much preferred if you kept your perfumed talons off my belly. And to the random elderly man, you were creepy when complimenting me on how good I look for being so close to my due date. I totally saw that side eye your wife gave you when you said that and then when you gave me a hug after LITERALLY just meeting you. Ugh, gross.
  • Go to sleep DS!!!! You can NOT give up naps at 2yr 2 months. I have put him back to bed 4x and counting. Just a 30min cat nap will do!

2y2m... You're lucky. DD1 gave up naps at 9 months. Yup. NINE MONTHS!!

Although I guess your DS giving naps right before you have a new LO does kind of suck lol.
Whaaaaaattt!! 9 months! That is cruel. How did you survive?? We are in an endless stage of not knowing whether DD will nap or not on any given day - so painful.

    :((

She was a great sleeper from the beginning. By the time she dropped her last nap, she was sleeping a solid 14 hours straight over night so I really couldn't complain. To be honest I would take a night time sleeper over a napper any day. It was nice to be able to go about my day without scheduling my life around what time we needed to be home for a nap. At night I would put her down, have an hour or two to myself, I could sleep a good 8+ hours, and still get up before her to get some stuff done around the house in the morning. It was kind of wonderful.
Well thank sweet baby Jesus for that!

  • Work. I am SO COMPLETELY OVER YOU! I get 8 weeks paid maternity leave and want to spend as much time with the baby as I can; so I plan on working all the way until I go into labor or get induced. I am 37 weeks 5 days and I am way too irritable to be dealing with people. Especially the people I work with. I work in a core analysis lab and work with all males other than my office manager who is female. The males seriously can't do ANYTHING unless you are holding their hand and eat ALL the snacks in the break room along with ALL of the sodas. They don't know how to clean up after themselves, put their dishes in the dishwasher, refill the fridge with the sodas that THEY drink or refill the snacks that THEY eat! They leave the coffee pot on, even after they drink ALL the coffee, causing the coffee to be completely ruined and cause the WHOLE office to smell burnt. Then proceed to complain about the burning smell. I swear, men are worse to work with than women. To add to this, my pubic bone is hurting SO EXTREMELY bad! I can't walk without feeling like my hips are going to rip apart! No matter how many times I ask for help, nothing gets done. I'm so ready for this break from work.

    WHEW!
  • @laylababe3 somebody just might get smacked if they said that to me!
  • I'm 41 weeks and 3 days now. I've woken up to 5 messages asking where the baby is. I can't even deal with this anymore

This. 41 and 5 today. I've learned to turn my phone to vibrate at night before bed. Otherwise the texts start between 6-7am and disrupt the little sleep I'm able to get.
