My doc won't see me until 10 weeks, so I went to an immediate care facility affiliated with my PCP last week for a blood test. The results came back within 24 hours as positive. I just wanted confirmation, so I didn't ask for the more sophisticated test.
@tennisbabymama I walked into my doctor's office like a lost puppy. They set me up with a HcG/progesterone blood test and chatted with a nurse. They won't setup a prenatal appointment until my blood work comes back. Now I can't focus at work...
I had 2 blood draws last week for hcg & progesterone after a CP last month. Progesterone levels are good and hcg is rising quickly so far (17 to 59 in 48 hours). I'm going back this week for a 3rd because last week was still quite early.
I was 5 weeks. I'm also 4w3d right now but ovulated earlier this cycle, so I'm pretty close to even with that timing in terms of how far past ovulation I am. Fingers crossed this one is sticky (and for you, as well!). My progesterone was low last time so hoping that is a better sign.
I'm 4w5d and I had my blood work done 2 days ago. My family doctor sent me for blood work right away when I saw her so I'll see her again on Thursday to go over the results! (they actually have the results already but she's out of town until Thursday
I missed my period beginning of August..took 3 home pregnancy tests & all were negative. I went in for a blood test last Tuesday and got the Positive results that day. HCG levels were just too low since it was still so early for the HPT to pick up. Go for a blood test if you want answers now!

@rel1988 I was but then I realized I took 4 positive pregnancy tests from different brands and the positive on those suckers popped up so clear and bold. Just keep yourself busy Will you also know your results that day?
@nrjaskie I am secretly hoping for twins. I already have 3 stepsons with DH so this is likely one and done for us...I wouldn't be mad to end up with more than one. (I say that now, but I'm sure it's a completely overwhelming experience.)
nrjaskie I hope so! I have taken 6 tests so far from various brands between Fri-Sunday. Sorry, not sorry X_X I didn't this morning, but probably will tomorrow AM just to double check before my draw.

Bwahaha this is so me, I've tested nearly every day since getting my first BFP!
Thanks! I looked into it and it might be so high since I've had a previous loss. My body might be overcompensating. Alternatively, that and with the hCG tripling might be multiples (or molar) but all if that's too early to know. I have an US in two weeks so we'll see!
I went in to the clinic at work for my blood draw and they just gave me a urine pregnancy test. They told me I could come back after my first appointment at my OB's with a note from the Dr's specifying what labs they want run and they will run them free of charge. My appt isn't for another 3 weeks. Then I would have to wait another day or so, so I will probably just have my OB take them and pay for them. I just want to know my HGC levels!!!! I'm so scared of something happening because my 2 best friends have had MS recently. I'm in tears right now just trying to get through the rest of the work day (
@rel1988 hang in there! I know it's scary and I've had days like that! Two of my girlfriends are ttc as well and we all m/c within weeks of each other the first time around. I'm just trying to stay positive and take it a day at a time.
@nrjaskie I checked around and no not unless I go to ER which would cost a few hundred...going to be a long 3 weeks! Will just keep praying the little bugger stays sticky and healthy
@rel1988 hang in there! Sometimes the differences in clinic's protocol surprises me, like I said earlier I wasn't allowed to schedule a prenatal appointment until I took a blood test. Everywhere is so different. I will be sending prayers that your little one is healthy!
Hcg can take up to 72 hours to double . Nothing you can do to change the hcg results. Here's mine I'm showing just as another example of the lab values. I only had to have a blood test due to having a miscarriage last time. Typically we don't draw labs in the office until much later . Also you can't really compare results. The range is way too large and varies so don't compare yourself to anybody else
Re: Blood work to confirm pregnancy
Progesterone: 17.3
HgC: 789
I have no idea what to think of these numbers, other that I am pregnant!
11 DPO
hCG = 47
Progesterone = 52.7
13 DPO
hCG = 151
Progesterone = 54.9
15dpo- 1,365!!
Had 2 follicles at ovulation, so hoping for twins

The doctor called this morning, I have to go back in for blood work tomorrow to see if my counts have double... The true test!
