My hungry hungry baby .

My LO is 5 days old and eats like no tomorrow!
He is currently being formula fed because BF didn't work out and he wasn't and still isn't interested.

Anywho , I am feeding him 2oz but I split that into every hour.
So an ounce an hour . He isn't very satisfied with that at all .
I've kinda been forced to give him a pacifier to calm him down or help put him to sleep , I don't want to over feed him because I know he can keep eating .
I just seen a LC on Friday and told her how I split up his feedings She said that was fine just as long as I'm not feeding him a whole 4oz in one hour because that's too much , now I think I should be feeding him more ?
I know all babies are different but does anyone have any suggestions? Should I be feeding him more ? Or what should I do ?

    My LO takes 3oz every 3-4 hours. My pediatrician said that's fine. So I would try to up the feedings to 2oz every couple hours to see if that satisfies him. This is my 4th LO and I've never fed any of them every hour. So hopefully upping his feedings will help the both of you :)

    I would say feed him more if he seems hungry.  As long as he isn't uncomfortable afterward/spitting up a lot I don't think you have over feed him.  They go through a lot of growth spurts at that age.  I would feed him what he needs for sure.  I have mostly breast feed at that age but there are times when they are that little that I have nursed almost all evening long.  Up it by an ounce at a time to see how he does.  I bet you end up with a more content baby on your hands!

    Yeah that's a good idea I think I'll try that starting at his next feeding , I feel he still might wake up hungry though , he does sometimes go 2-3 hours but the past 2 days he's been sleeping an hour the longest during the day.
    But besides that he sleeps all through the night . I stay up late because DH gets off work between 10:30-11 so his last feeding is before we go to sleep usually around 1-2 and he wakes up 6,7 or 8 the latest .
    Hopefully it works !
