We have our boy name, had it picked out since DD since we (ok, I...DH is agreeing to me) love it. The girls name is up in the air. I'm trying to sell him on Fiona, but he's not buying it. He says it just makes him think of Shrek, even though he was a big Burn Notice fan. I also love Juliette. His girl name is Lana, but I'm afraid it is too rhymey with DD (Aryanna). I could actually use some input on how those names go together lol.

  • I like Lana but I agree that it's pretty matchy matchy with Aryanna.

I think about names all the time! We were all set with Evelyn for a girl last time but we had a boy and not sure if we love it anymore. Our son is Rhys ("Reece") Addison. No clue for a boy. We are starting all over!

  • Love all those names !
Love the fact to stick with flower names ! That would be so cute !!
And I LOVE the name Fiona and Evelyn ! Beautiful girl names !
  • We are set on Evangeline for a girl (which I've had picked out since I was about 12 yrs old) and DH loves it! We are sitting on Jackson for a boy but we aren't 100% on it because I like like it's overdone, I'm looking for suggestions for old timey country sounding boys names!
  • DH is set on Avery for a girl... I don't hate it but I definitely don't love it. I also like boy names for girls, my favorite for a girl is Camdyn. Yes I know a lot of people on the bump would eat me up for the name but Idc! Ha! Boy names we are definitely still thinking.
Lana and Fiona are both pretty just nms.
  • Before getting a BFP we had thrown around Marlee Sage (after my late gma Marlene) and Canaan Thomas.

Now that we actually are pregnant we haven't discussed again yet!

  • I'm like obsessed with boy names for girls lol !
Like Blake Lively! I think that's why we LOVE Jordyn so much for a girl ! Or even Tyler ! I know weirdo lol !
After two boys maybe just boy things have rubbed off on me lol! Hoping for a girl !!!!

I'm a teacher and a few years ago I had a Charleigh and loved that name!

  • I love the name Ben for a boy. Not sure on a girls name
  • At the moment, our top two girls' names are Everly Maple and Eden Avonlea (DD is Brynn Aspen). Top two boys' are Caleb Leif and Isaac Wilder.

If you love names, check out nameberry.com, especially the forums!
  • I got nothing yet. I don't think we'll start to come up with names until we know the gender. It's easier to think of just one name. We're super picky though. I won't use any name that's in the top 200 or so on Nameberry. And it has to have some kind of meaning for us and not be a family name. DS is named after a character in one of my favorite books and one of his daddy's favorite musicians. We'll see what we come up with for this one after we know the gender.

  • I've got some ideas and so does my bf. We keep politely declining eachothers suggestions. Lol i like Ruby Marie.. Marie is my middle name and I just like Ruby. For a boy I like Perry Joseph.. Perry is my dad's middle name and Joseph is his dad's name. He has names like Savannah and Madison. Not my style.

  • Yes! DH and I decided Avery Louise for a girl and Koen William for a boy!
  • I have no idea on either!! DD is Caroline, so I'd like to stick with a classic name.

  • DD is Bailee Reese. We thought we were set on Dylan for a boy, but we're second guessing it. I'm pretty set on Korie for a girl. I usually don't like unique names but my mom and I have a boy names. I think it would be nice to continue the tradition.

My name is Kyle. I haaaaated it as a child, but I love it now! If we go with a boy name for a girl, we'll probably go a little more feminine than Kyle haha. Korie and Ryan are my top girl names thus far.
  • @RedneckMama819 Evangeline is our pick for a girls middle name, I love it! Our girl name is Vivian Evangeline and our boy name is Nolan...still tossing ideas around for middle but we like Sower.

Oh and I also love the name Charlie for a girl @dayzchic9
One of my friends named her daughter Francine and calls her Frankie... So freaking cute! And I would love to name a girl Charlotte and call her Charlie, but DH says no because we live in Charlotte. Boo!

Some of these names are out there! But I definitely prefer a more traditional spelling. And before I get crucified for "Rhys," that is the original spelling of the name, which is Welch... Reese/Reece are Americanized versions of Rhys.

  • Girl names: Nora Kate, Anna Kate, Elizabeth Kate (obviously Kate is set for middle name)
  • For a boy we have Finley Ivrin. Finn for short. Ivrin is after husbands stepdad. For a girl we have Briar Paige.
  • I love A names for girls! His DD is Alana and I have Abby... I love Aubree or Ashlyn.

For a boy it's TBD if we're going to give it his name or not. I'm leaving that one up to him. Otherwise Dominic is in the lead if he doesn't want to name it after him. My DS name is Brady. I also like some other B names. I'm hoping since Dominic is one of his names (which I do love!), that he'll let me pick the girls name.
  • For a boy, I caved in and agreed to do a Junior. A girl the name is undecided

  • We like pretty traditional names, I like Allison for a girl but DH and I haven't discussed names at all.
  • Evelyn is at the top of my list- mainly because I LOVE Evie for short but we're entertaining Alice, Penny and Poppy for girls as well :)  We're thinking Amos for a boy for the moment :)  It's so fun to play with the names but we're team green and likely won't pick a name until we meet the little bugger
  • mumidi  My name is Allison. :) Never had another Allison in any of my classes in school.
    image
  • jkffx7 I like Penny but my BF's last name is a P name and it's too sing songy for me. I love the name though.

  • My DH and I had the conversation at dinner last night and found that we're (unexpectedly) on the same page with names (other than I've ALWAYS wanted a Vincent- my dad's middle name- and he's dead set against it).  But what I was REALLY surprised by was the fact that he's okay with hyphenating the last name!  I consider that a big win!  I kept my name when we got married (and that was never an issue for him- we haven't found it to be an issue since- most mail gets directed to the Dorrances which is fine with me). I am working to take over my family's 100 year old printing organization which is named after the family and I'm the very last one to hold the name "Flesh" (all girls and my sister changed hers) so I was really hoping he'd agree to hyphenate--- now his folks might be a whole different story...

After last night I'm totally okay with him vetoing Vincent!  I think we’ll probably skip a middle name though because the last name may be a mouthful “Flesh-Dorrance”.  Anyone else out there with a hyphenated last name?

  • dayzchic9 Boom!  I love it!
  • @jkffx7 I also kept my last name when we got married. We didn't hyphenate, but we gave a second middle name that is my last name (and we will again). I liked the idea of hyphenating, but it would just be such a ridiculous last name! yours are much more reasonable names to hyphenate :)
  • What does DD and DH mean?
  • Our boy name is Avery Matthew and our girl name is Avree Madison :) my hubby picked then out and I chose middle names

  • We've been throwing names out too. I like Max for a boy or Beckham, I don't have any girl names tho. My husband likes Sophia. So I might let him go with that.

  • I know we want to do Jensen Fawkes for a little boy.  For a girl we want to name her Nola but keep going back and forth with the middle name.  Right now Nola Penelope is in the lead.
