So with our first child my water broke prior to labor, is it likely that will happen again?

(This happened naturally without a sweep.)

That's probably somthing you should ask your doctor. Like PP said, every pregnancy is different. It may or may not.

With my first my water broke, but my second I had to be induced. I have no expectations for this LO. Every pregnancy and delivery experience is unique. HTH!

With my first my water broke and I had a single contraction, then.....nothing. Ended up with an induction later and then a csection. I didn't know it at the time, but it's rare to have your water break before labor.

My water broke and contractions started 5 mins later lasting 2 mins each !! I'm hoping my labor this time is as fast and easy !

Mine has never broken before labor. Once i had it broken around 7 cms and two times it broke during pushing.

I'm hoping I stick with the non breaking thing.

With my first my water broke in a gush, with my second there was some debate about if I was leaking from a small tear (the ferning test was positive, but she was almost born in her sac.) It would be interesting if it broke again, but I keep in mind that every pregnancy, birth and baby is different

With my first it didn't, with my second it did. I didn't realize at first that it was happening though. I pictured it would be like in the movies like a big river coming out lol but mine was a slow trickle on and off during the day.

Mine broke with my twins in a fish. I was getting out of b d to go pee and thought I peed myself. When it gushed again 5 min later, I knew it was my water and that I didn't pee twice! Contractions started very soon after. I hope it happens again because I am so nervous I won't know when to go to the hospital!

Mine broke on it's own shortly after I reached the hospital.
