DH holds my pillows up to the AC vent before bed so they are nice and cold before I get in bed :x He also takes DD on Saturday mornings so I can sleep in and brings me Starbucks when he gets home ~O)
That is so nice!!! I'm so quick to complain when he annoys me (or eats all my fries like I was bitching about yesterday) so let's give the guy a little credit. First of all, not only did he come home yesterday with a new bag of fries, but he also brought me flowers just because.
Things he does on a regular basis though include shoulder rubs, taking the dogs out in the morning so I can keep sleeping even though I'm a teacher and on break and he's going to work, and cooking yummy things all the time. He's a keeper!
Oh nice thread! I wanted to participate in the "annoying" thread but he's been so sweet this week I just couldn't! Awesome sweet and delicious things he has done this week alone: lasagna, calamari tomato sauce, home-made pizza. It's all about the home-made carbs, he got it!
My SO has been amazing this whole pregnancy. If I am craving anything he will run and get it no matter when, got me my snoogle, has been working on the nursery when ever I am not feeling up to it etc. Seriously this man is amazing and I cant wait to watch him become a daddy.
I read the other thread about annoying things SOs do and it made me realize I am the annoying one. I leave all cabinets open, I leave the top off the toothpaste, my shoes are everywhere, if I cut fruit I always leave the knife on the edge of the counter (ok I know I need to work on that with a baby coming), and I crawl into bed every night without straightening the sheets. My DH fixes all those things for me without saying a word. If I catch him picking up after me and try to help/apologize, he just smiles and says "No worries baby, I married you for your looks anyway."
I always have our bedroom AC unit running, which is pointed straight at our bed. DH will freeze for hours on end because if we turn it off I over heat. DH will then let me put my cold hands on his chest to warm them up, along with me feet on his legs.
When we grocery shop, I'll put a lot of healthy stuff in the cart and when I'm not looking, DH will throw in a few of my favorite snacks and I won't realize until we're home. Also I always sit down at these tables while he checks out, and he always buys me a water at check out.
Any kind of craving I have, DH will run out and get it. Besides the one time I tried getting him to get me Burger King at 10pm. He was right that I didn't need it though.
Every week we have steak night, and DH makes me a killer delicious steak dinner. Mmmmm...
I was thinking about this yesterday when I was posting about is annoying habits, great thread!
DH is wonderful! After 11 years together he still opens my car door everytime. DS is 4 and has started mimicking this, so if DH isn't around DS insists on opening the driver's door for me
He regularly will bring me home something after work, he works late nights so I wake up to a doughnut for breakfast or a bag of pretzels or candy to take to work with me sitting on the counter, or a vase of flowers.
He knows I hate cleaning toilets so he does it everytime he notices they are dirty, I haven't cleaned a toilet in 6 years!
But, most importantly lately he is super patient with me even though I know I have been a crazy hormonal mess. And he always tells me how great I look when I feel like I am starting to look like a whale
My DH has been awesome:). He refuses to let me carry anything so when we go to the store he sends me inside and bring everything in for me. He makes dinner 99% of the time and does the dishes. He also goes out for whatever I'm craving whenever I want it:). He also deals with all my craziness:). He will definitely be a great daddy:)
I much prefer talking about how sweet DH is. Because even his annoying traits kind of make me laugh.
1. He texted me yesterday to ask, "How's my baby doing."
2. He has started (in the last three weeks) putting his hand on my stomach in EVERY photo even though I'm not really showing yet (I'll attach a photo from a couple of weeks ago so you can see what I mean).
3. I've been out of town, and he cleaned the house while I was gone because he knows I LOVE coming home to a clean house.
4. He brings me home the "share" size of my favorite skittles, and doesn't expect me to share at all (I seem to always talk about skittles, but they're kind of my passion at the moment).
These are just a few "little things." Every day (in the 11 years we've been together) he is pretty much the poster child of what a SO should be. He's kind of perfect.
I know I take a lot of things that DH does for granted.
He always does dishes without being asked.
He brings me home snacks from the gas station (Snickers ice cream bars being my favorite!).
He jumps in to help with DS a lot, especially when he's being nasty and needs a little "Daddy enforcement."
He lets me sleep in on Saturdays by getting up with DS.
He understands my hormones are on overdrive right now. The other night I went back and forth from hysterically laughing to full blow tears for a solid 15 minutes for absolutely no reason at all. He laughed with me when I was laughing and comforted me when I was crying.

Haha I love this! I was thinking this too! I'm the one that is messy and unorganized most of the time! Lol
There are just so many wonderfully sweet things he does. My favorites are checking in with me and baby to see how we are doing throughout the day. I melt when he rubs my tummy at night to say goodnight to baby. If I mention that some food sounds good, it magically appears in our house! He cleans the house/does the laundry/cooks/does dishes/takes out trash & recycling without ever being asked-if he sees it needs to be done, he does it.
Love this! A few things that I love... DH gets up with DS on Saturday and Sunday mornings so I can sleep in. And he changes pretty much every diaper when he is home. He carries the laundry up and down the stairs so I don't have to. Offers to pick up anything I need/want on his way home from work everyday, even when his day has been long and stressful.
I love everything about my DH even after 14 years together!! He is adorable, and puts up with a lot of crap that I've been throwing his way, as I am also a hormonal monster at the moment. He cooks, cleans, tells me I'm beautiful and that he can't wait to see me as a mum, aaawwww, and that he knows I'll be great, I need tissues now. He's also started kissing my bump when I get home from work, bless. Xxxxxxxx
This is so nice! I love my DH because he always tells me multiple times a day how beautiful and special I am. He never makes me feel crazy and is always supportive and sweet when I'm hormonal or having a meltdown. He always rubs my back or neck whenever I have headaches, for as long as I want, and never complains. Whenever I am super stressed or upset, he makes me laugh by walking around like a penguin. (This has been an inside joke for us for most of the 12 years that we have been together.) I just love him!
He always tells me I'm beautiful, even when I feel like a whale and I'm breaking out. He's working three jobs. He always supports my cravings, he even drops what he's doing to find what I want to eat. He kisses my tummy and tells me how much he loves baby. He rubs my feet and my back. He has the patience of a saint. And his smile makes my heart melt
I love this thread! My DH is so wonderful and does so many little things for me that I can't even begin to explain. Top of my list: I'm not a morning person, at all, I do not function until I have coffee. He wakes up everyday before me sneaks out of bed starts my coffee and doesn't wake me until it is ready. We have been together 6 years and he goes out of his way to make sure my morning starts off good, usually follows with breakfast too but now I'm just bragging. :x
I'm glad you started this! All the threads about annoying or stupid things SO does are funny, but I can't participate in them because DH has been a perfect gem. He hasn't asked or expected me to do a single thing since I got pregnant and does everything to take care of me and the pets. I love how involved he's been picking out things with me and getting ready for baby.
Mine DH has started looking at the baby development books and is always asking me what baby looks like this week(fruit) and what new developmental things is it doing.
He also likes to put his hand on my belly and gets really excited when I feel it moving.
He is so flipping excited for the anatomy scan coming up this month (me too!!!)
He always asks how I am feeling and if he can bring me anything.
He always tells me how beautiful he thinks I am and that he finds me attractive...even when I feel really unattractive.
Ofcourse i cried reading these... My DH has been reading to the baby every night in bed since our BFP. No matter how crappy i've been feeling, its the best way to end the day.
I love this thread. I've been complaining about everyone too much lately and forget that husband has been so awesome.
He refuses to let me carry anything even remotely heavy. He moved his guitar to the bedroom so he could play to my belly before bed every night so the twins get used to it, then he gets right up to my belly and talks to them before we go to sleep.
In general he's so excited for our first children and he's been working so hard getting the house ready, all while insisting I rest.
I love this! I often find it really disheartening the way that women bash their husbands or SO's. I think we should make more of an effort to appreciate them!
These are cute! Last night when I was up for over an hour with heartburn and reflux, he offered to go to the store for me to get me something at 5am. It was so sweet! He also watches the info videos with me every Saturday when my weeks turn over lol
This is such a nice thread! I am so, so lucky. DH has been amazing. He does the dishes, rubs my feet, back, head, whatever! He doesn't let me lift or carry anything. He will help with groceries and shopping. He does my Makena shots every week. He tries to make every ultrasound (we go every 2 weeks). Finally, he helps out so much with DS, and lets me sleep in each day. I cannot put into words how thankful I am for him. :x

I'm lucky mine sticks around. :P Pregnancy has turned me into Mega B*tch where the littlest things set me off... The other day after having a rough week, I woke up from a 3 hr nap (YES!!! he let me sleep that long. It was glorious) after he got home from work and on my bedside table was a big vase of Gladiolus (a flower he's gotten me every year in Aug since we started dating- Drop Dead Fred, anyone?), non-alcoholic white zin, and some sour gummy worms. He loves me sometimes.
My SO has always been amazing. He cooks almost every night He does his own laundry and mine He will get me anything I am craving When I am uncomfortable he tried to comfort me with backrubs, foot rubs, etc He always kisses me on my forehead and whispers I love you every morning before he leaves for work! (That's my favorite) There is plenty more but I don't want any of yall to steal him away from me! Heheh just kidding.
After reading a thread (I don't remember which one) where everyone was talking about wanting starbursts and skittles, I was totally craving the purple bag of skittles. Today dh made a special trip out to get me skittles and he also brought home a movie that I've been wanting to see! I was so mad when I missed it in the theater. (Insurgent from the divergent series - don't judge.) I was so so excited!
DW has basically been awesome in every way. She makes dinner almost every night AND did the dishes when I was too sick to be near dirty dishes.
One time I told her I wanted a NYC egg and cheese and she surprised me by getting all the ingredients and make me one specially (this is one of the big things I miss about living in NYC).
She got me some maternity clothes on her last research trip.
:x
Married DW 08.2013; AI 2x; IUI 6x; IUI #7 05.2015; DD born 2.2016 ; Reciprocal IVF FET #1 on 11.18.2020
I used my hubbys phone one day to look up something online and saw that he had been looking up ways to pamper his expecting wife. Hes a sweetie.
Today he bought a guitar so that he can learn songs to play for our daughter.
DH takes care of DD in the mornings on the weekends so I can get a little extra rest. :x And also just great in general about taking care of things that I need more help with now (unloading the dishwasher because the soap odor makes me gag, carrying heavy laundry baskets etc)
Well, we moved this weekend! (Which is about as fun as it sounds - August AND pregnant! What amazing timing!) Anyway, my husband lifted every single box, stick of furniture and anything that weighed more than our (very unhappy) cats while I rested as often as I needed to. And he walked the dog morning and night all weekend, since I was so zonked out from packing and the heat. Even though he had a work even on Sunday that meant he had to work 14 hours! He insisted though! Anyway, I chose wisely with this guy.
DH makes the bed before I go to sleep because he knows how much I like it. But most importantly, he always kills the spiders for me. Even if he's lying in bed!

He has been on the lookout for maternity clothes deals.
He goes and gets me stuff from the store or a restaurant all of the time.
He didn't complain once when I didn't clean the house for a good 2 1/2 months and always notices and thanks me for cleaning.
He took over cleaning the kitty boxes without a single complaint.
He doesn't get annoyed when I'm tired or sick or have a headache. He understands it's tough growing a human being.
Like I said in the annoying thread, he has his irritating habits but the good far outweighs the bad. :-)

When i complain of back pain he offers to give me a massage. How could i refuse?
He does the dishes if i ask, with no complaint.
I just love him. Hes been so great esp recently. Hes so thrilled we're having a baby.
