39 weeks and want her out.

I am 39 weeks and I want her out already. I've went walking, eat spicy food, take warm baths and nothing. I've been having small contractions every 2 hours. I'm about to take a tablespoon of castor oil and see if this can start my labor.

  • Is this your first? For your sanity I would plan on waiting until past your due date if so...otherwise you'll be thinking about it 24/7
  • I've try that too and nothing
  • I feel her right there but its like she doesn't want to come out
  • That sucks u went thru that. But why are they saying its safe to do? My family has done it and nothing has happened
  • It was believed to be safe for a long time. My grandmother was taught to give her newborn gravy to help him gain weight. Obviously we know you shouldn't do that now.

  • Ive been doing the research online and it shows it is safe if u don't take so much of the oil.
  • Why are u trying to control my decision and discussion? I've been doing research for days in all different websites and it shows it safe. I've read a mom to be drank so much of it and she has issues. I'm not trying to drink a whole bottle of it.
  • Then don't post your opinions on a public forum and expect people not to disagree with you ehen you are talking about safety concerns. Baby aside it will make you have diarrhea and dehydrate you which isn't healthy for your own body. That stress on your body will cause stress to your child. Not to mention it doesn't always work. Your baby isn't ready and you need to just wait.
  • Its the same way people talk shit about zofan and that didn't have no effect on me whatsoever

So you really just posted on a board that has repeatedly aired the dangers of castor oil induction, and expected us to give you different advice or none at all? For your baby's sake I hope nothing goes wrong. Good luck. X_X
  • You're just mad that none of us agreed with you,

  • Bye Felicia. So classic. I was never asking for sympathy.
  • If you are comfortable doing it then do it. The decision is yours. Just know that when you post things in this site you are opening yourself up to others' feedback and you may not always like it.
  • I was 41 weeks when my water broke with my first.. Castor oil never even crossed my mind. Especially when my doctor told me not to!
I'm almost 39 weeks, live in hot, humid 100+ degree Florida right now, and still wouldn't consider castor oil even if I am beyond over being pregnant. My doctor warned me again about Castor oil at my last appointment (even if I never had considered it. Gross).

Baby will come when baby comes.. Don't try to force it. Unless you enjoy having the shits and having hemmorhoids from having the shits, then by all means have at it.
  • Thank u. At least someone is nice on here. I've done everything and its not working. Foot rubs, warm baths, long walks, caffeine, back rubs, etc. I had a false alarm on Thursday. It can be any day.
