Anatomy Scan not scheduled until 22w+4

When I went for my last Dr. Appt the Dr. said her nurse would schedule my 20 week anatomy scan at the end of my appt. However, the date they gave me for the ultrasound is not until I'll already be 22weeks plus 4 days! Anyone else have a delay? I did have a dating US (determined to be 11.5 weeks at that point...which was quite a lot further along that we had thought...) but it seems like it's a long time to check in with baby! I'll be 20 weeks next week but won't have my US until Aug 27...
Would any of you be concerned about this? FTM here :)

    I wouldn't be concerned. It just might be when they have room to fit you in.

    I am purposely waiting until I am 22 weeks becasue of the timing of my appointments and a trip out of town. Plus you get to see baby a little more developed! Nothing wrong with that.

    Mine is at 22 weeks too, I had it scheduled a little after 20 weeks but ended up having to change the appointment. Later than 20 weeks isn't a big deal, only earlier than 18 would be a problem. Before 18 weeks they aren't developed enough to check on all the things they want to see during the US.

    I was also booked at about 22 weeks. My OB office called the hospital to schedule and then called me with the date. I called the hospital to see if I could move it a bit earlier and I got it moved to 6 days sooner. Not huge but Better than nothing!

    I would be concerned. I bet you're just excited and eager and don't want to wait! I am waiting to get a call from my OB on what date the A/S is... Thinking it will be the week of Labor Day.

    We had a dating scans at 7w 1d. My AS isn't until 23w1d. I wish we could as he/she sooner, but I look forward to seeing out baby 3 more weeks developed.

    I can't lie though, I really considered going to a free-standing place just I make sure everything is okay. At 7 weeks you can only see so much. It makes me wonder how people have found out that there are things that need to be closely monitored like placenta previa. I assume there are other symptoms I'd have, but it still is nerve-wracking to say the very least.

    @essentialpeace I feel the same as well. Had dating scan at 9 weeks and next is 21 weeks. Just seems so far in between. I guess we would know if something were wrong???

    I haven't had any scans yet! The anatomy scan at 22 weeks will be my first and likely only ultrasound this pregnancy.

    I hope so. I just keep thinking I feel good, no bleeding and the bump is growing. Trying to stay peaceful!

    I haven't had a real ultra sound since 7 weeks. I do see my doc every 4 weeks. They check his heart beat, test my sample, and discuss any questions or concerns. She said as long as I don't have any issues, there is no need to do another u/s until 20 weeks. I'm coming in at 19 weeks since that's how the apts fell.

    In FL. I could have had the NT scan at 12 weeks but I declined it. I am a low risk pregnancy and personally would rather not know about chromosomal problems that early in pregnancy, it wouldn't change anything for me, just stress me out! They don't do ultrasounds frequently at my Dr office, I don't think the do dating scans there unless you have no idea when you concieved. I didn't even have my first appointment until 10 weeks.

    This is my 3rd baby, with my first I only had the one us at 20 weeks, with my second I had one at 20 weeks and one at 41 weeks.

    Like others said, there's no reason for concern. 22 weeks is perfectly fine. It's better for the baby to be well-developed so they can see everything they need to.

    They can schedule them up until 24 weeks, so your dating is within the range of normal! 

    Our anatomy scan will be our first, and likely last, ultrasound of this pregnancy also.

    Because I travel so much, most of my appointments are right at the end of the desired "time frame"....a "20 wk" scan is really more like 20-24 wk scan. Also, doctors typically don't do things wrong for liability. I mean, that's not entirely true.... but I try and believe that the doctors attempt to do things as close to correctly as possible. Don't worry :)

    I'll be only two days away from my full 20 weeks by the time I have my anatomy u/s. I guess it is how my appointments fall because that'll be my regular check up as well. Excited to see the gender or sex whatever don't beat me up please! My nurses in the office call it the gender u/s or scan said that in my last BC and they went all ape sh** on me about it.

    I had my first one at 8 weeks 5 days and my next one isn't until close to 22 weeks, but I did go to a place in town at 16 weeks to find out sex of the baby! Will most likely go back around 29 weeks for 4D ultrasound. Not sure if I'll have any more at my dr after the AS or not.

    My OB/GYN told me I would have my "20 week" u/s around 19 weeks, however it is not scheduled yet and my next appt is during week 18. Did everyone schedule theirs yet?!?! 
    I digress. I think it may just be when they can fit you in. If you are concerned, I would call and see if they can fit you in any earlier.

    I haven't had an ultrasound yet so I am super anxious for my a/s. I want to see this little one so bad. I will schedule it Wednesday and it will probably fall when I am 23 weeks to keep in line with my appointments.

    Mine isn't until 22 weeks either, but I've see. A quick glance at baby at every appointment. So I'm not too concerned. Just anxious to find out the gender. Lol

    I don't think it's a problem. Mine is on the 28th but I'll be only 19w. Apparently the measurements they take at the a/s can be off a little if they do them too early. So it's probably better that you're having it a little later.
