Stuck between 2 girls names...

We are team green. If it's a boy, his name will be Ronan. For a girl, it's tricky. We are torn between Alanna and Lilah. I fear Lilah may get too popular, but I love it. I love Alanna because nn would be Lanna. DD's name is Mckenzie and we call her Kenzie. Opinions, thoughts? I know there's a baby names board, but they scare me over there! TIA!

I like them both! I think I like Alanna a bit more but I like the look of it spelled Alana better. Plus I think that spelling is the more common one so she may not have to deal with other people spelling it wrong as much.

Alanna is our girl name if we have one! Love it. Fell in love with it in a book about 15 years ago. Knew that I'd always name a daughter that if I had one.
ETA our nickname would be Lana with only one n.

I think Lilah is beautiful. It's hard to not get caught up in what's popular or may be popular but the name will become and fit your child. Not the other way around. It will be unique and perfect for her if that's what you choose.

They're both adorable! I've been teaching for 10 years and I've never had a Lilah, so I don't think it's overly popular. Picking names is tough!

Alana is my cousin's baby name, and Ronan is my new nephew! Love your names. I like Delilah nn Lilah a lot if our jellybean is a girl, but since we are Christians Delilah doesn't have the best connotations, to DH, lol.

I understand your name worries. We had Raelynn picked out for our girl name but then a girl I went to high school with just named her daughter raelynn and I know someone else with a daughter names raelynn. It's getting popular. I like pretty unique names. So we changed ours a little bit, plus it has more sentimental value.
Our girls name is now Raelee. (My dad's middle name of Ray, and my brothers of lee).

We're stuck on boys names though.
