Exercise is key for me! A walk in the morning or a barre class will keep my numbers under 120, even after meals. I have two slices of Ezekial bread with PB and a hard boiled egg and my BG will be less than 90 two hrs later. Also, less carbs the better - but I try to include one at each meal but keep my snacks to protein and fats. It's an art not a science so you'll constantly be adjusting to figure out what works. Best of luck to you!
Does anyone notice if the amount of sleep you get effects fasting numbers? I've been struggling with mine too, most are 100-105 each morning. I'm wondering if I try to get more sleep consistently, if that will help. Most nights I'm averaging 5-6 hours of sleep....
When I wake up at 530a, my fasting numbers are good. On my days off, when I sleep in 4 to 5 hours more, they hit 100-108. So I have now woken up at 6a or 7am on my days off, take the numbers and have breakfast and off to nap I go again.
