My coworker/partner just informed me that he's leaving early for a doctors appt despite having a 1 week staycation next week leaving me to fend for myself at a time where i could very well go into labor at any time and I blurted out "you seriously couldn't have scheduled it NEXT week"
He started stammering about having scheduled it a month ago and didn't think about it and blah blah blah, and then he just said "i'm sorry" and walked away. I'd feel bad, but i can't stand the guy and my bosses have been documenting his shit behavior for 6 months in an effort to fire him because he flat out doesn't know how to do his job any more. He is taking his vacation a week before my due date thinking he is "helping" by not being gone while I'm out. They have a temp for me then it doesn't matter then, what matters is next week, when i'm on my own! GRRRRR

My husband's coworker/partner asked him a few months back if my DH had any issue with him taking off part of the week and the weekend of 8/22-8/23...my DH told him yeah that was a problem because I am due 8/19 and there is a good chance we will be in the hospital. Well, the shithead scheduled himself off anyway for a FIVE DAY BACHELOR PARTY.. OH, and the reason he couldn't have his bachelor week/party in July was because his brother's wife was having a baby. So to top it off, DH's boss tells him, "Oh, I may need you to log on and schedule some since you work from home anyway." Are you F'ING KIDDING ME?!?! Baby trumps bachelor party, especially when he TOLD the guy that weekend was bad that I was due AND the guy could have picked any other weekend/month since he knew plenty of time in advance and seriously just WTF! Okay....vent over. For now.
@megvaddi I currently have a baby passed out on my chest too. I fell asleep with her like this last night. Its horrible but she won't go down anywhere!

I'm guilty of this also. I don't try it but the sleep deprivation can really get to you!
I can think of a few this week...1)I pretty much walk around the house in underwear and a sports bra all the time anymore. My husband loves it! 2) Even though we spent our going out fund money already this month, I can't shake this Mexican food craving and feel I deserve it since I'm 3 days overdue now lol. So I'm going tonight for dinner. 3) If my step-mom calls or texts one more time and asks for an update, I will bite her head off! What do people think? That I'll somehow forget to let them know when their grandchild is born! Maybe I need to tell them again that no1 is being informed of anything until he's a few hours old? 4) Yes, I'm still here! No, the baby didn't come yet! Yes, I'm feeling fine!
Speaking of bachelor parties, My husband is going to Vegas next month for a friend's bachelor party. Thursday - Sunday! I've been biting my lip and honestly haven't thought about it much but our child will be just over a month old and he's leaving me for Vegas. Not to mention we live in a city well over 800 miles away from any family. Kind of annoyed.
H just texted me and asked for cinnamon buns for dessert tonight. You know, if it's not too much work and I feel up to it. I'm seriously considering going to the store, putting them on a baking pan, and warming them up in the oven. He won't know, right?

I've been avoiding family so I decided to be nice (If you wanna call it that) and finally visit some relatives tonight who are meeting for dinner (at a cafe I really don't like). I really don't feel like going, I'm not in the mood for belly touching, and 20 questions. I just wanna hole up in my bedroom for the next week and hide from everyone. My due dates in a week, but my doctor thinks she's gonna be late. Oy.
I snuck my Daughters bag of cotton candy out of the cupboard last night and ate it all. I feel guilty about this, but I also feel sad...sad that I no more cotton candy to steal.

I've been planning a med free birth this time around, but the way I've been sleeping (or not sleeping), is making me want to get the epidural so I can at least catch a good nap before DD arrives.
@kelsiwoodell because they put me on the monitor at the hospital for my inductions and said did you know were contracting exactly every 2min? I knew I had some tightening sensations but didn't know they were considered contractions cause they didn't hurt.
I have another one. I keep getting way too excited over bouts of diarrhea thinking they could be the start of very early labor.
Is it bad im jealous of your diarhhea?? At 40+2 its very upsetting that I still am having the worst BM. I keep thinking to myself wheres this pre labor diarhhrea everyone keeps talking about?? Hell, I dont care if it doesnt possibly mean labor I just want to be cleaned out!! ">

DS started pre-k today, he gave his teacher a hug as soon as he walked into the room. Did mom get a hug bye or tears? No. I now have a personal vendetta against this woman trying to (obviously) steal my son. Chalk it up to hormones, this bitch is going down.. BTW I cried like a baby, of course (

Mine also belongs on the throat punch board....as in I want to throat punch myself for letting my doc tell me the results of my cervix check today. I had been declining them but since I'm due Sunday I decided to let them sweep my membranes. I should have said sweep my membranes but don't tell me anything, because as soon as I left his office I was googling "3cm and 70% what does it mean"? I know, I know. It means jack. But I still couldn't help it!

I had been declining them but since I'm due Sunday I decided to let them sweep my membranes. I should have said sweep my membranes but don't tell me anything, because as soon as I left his office I was googling "3cm and 70% what does it mean"? I know, I know. It means jack. But I still couldn't help it!
At least you have some progress going on. I am due Sunday also and let them do a cervix check today for the first time. It is still completely closed. I have been having some good contractions going on for several days but obviously they are doing nothing.
Same here, cervix is completely closed and i'm a week from my due date. Just depressing.
I have a few confessions:
1. This afternoon I ate 1 blueberry muffin, 1 bowl of ice cream, 1 banana twin, and fritos/bean dip. Healthy, I know.
2. My doctor told me at my appointment 2 weeks ago that she'd highly recommend us to have lots of sex to try and soften the cervix, etc. But my husband refuses to do it because he's scared that the baby is watching, listening, and judging him. I don't think there's a nice way of telling him that he has nothing to be worried about :P
3. After my 2 day stay in the hospital, now my husband is having my mom stay with me while he's at work in case I have another episode. I'm so pissed because now i can't run around without a bra.
I've been so tired from lack of sleep that I have been sitting on the couch binge watching jersey shore reruns all day (thank goodness for my 6 yr olds helping me chase around my 19 month old) They have been so good all summer & hardly been able to do anything between bed rest, a NICU Stay & bringing home a newborn. . So my husband and I are surprising them with a day to the water park next week just the 4 of us!! They have never been so they will be so excited!! \:D/
My girl has a confirmed milk allergy so I've been giving her extra snuggles all day until her diarrhea is all better. I'm supposed to go out with DH tonight but I can't stand the idea of leaving our sicky behind
I have several lol
1) basically this week I woke-up with my DH at 0500 and then went to back to bed from like 0800-1000
2) I'm so very tired of my uninformed friends telling me because I'm having contractions and pelvic pain they bet the baby will be here this week. Don't get me all excited bitches I know I have AT LEAST two weeks left [-X
3) I'm kinda resenting my mom for living so far away (she lives in England like the country and we live in NC) because I could really use support and help and I have no one. I'm also getting really irritated at her because my husband MIGHT have to go away for a month in October for training (so I would have just started school September 1st, have a 1 month old, and have my BIL and be alone). And she keeps telling me to just come to England for a month and she doesn't want to see how unhelpful that is. Baby and I will have just settled into a routine and I have no baby stuff at her house. Plus if something were to happen to my husband on training or if something happened to my DSD (who lives in MI) I couldn't be there.
4) I'm so tired of being crampy and contractions but I'm like 99% sure they aren't progressive or mean anything! If they aren't going to mean anything they can fuck off

Ugh I totally relate! I spent the whole night last night on the couch with my girl. She has had a lot of gas and so she hasn't been sleeping well... Except for when she is sleeping on my chest. So last night and today I also have dozed off with her on me.

She comes out and wants to run her mouth but not help us. She asked me how I felt. I lied and said "pretty good" (I've been crampy and braxton hicksy all day) and she responds with "oh I guess you're just gonna be pregnant forever then" I really wanted to punch her. I'm still 4 days from my due date lady! Just because you had both of your babies weeks early doesn't mean I will! Gaaaaah!

Mine is that my 'nesting' seems to only consist of buying cool shit to occupy DD when the baby gets here. We hardly ever buy anything for her since she gets spoiled by family and gets lots of hand me downs. So I've bought like $400 worth of stuff, and it's been so much fun!! Cleaning the house can go get f***ed.

Mine is that my 'nesting' seems to only consist of buying cool shit to occupy DD when the baby gets here. We hardly ever buy anything for her since she gets spoiled by family and gets lots of hand me downs. So I've bought like $400 worth of stuff, and it's been so much fun!! Cleaning the house can go get f***ed.
