My baby's name is Philip and it seems like everyone wants to give him a darn nickname! My mother told me not to call him Phil because she hates that. She says I should call him Pip, like her high school boyfriend (weird??). One friend calls him Philio, another Filibuster, in laws try to call him Fry (Philip J Fry from Futurama). BIL says Lip. Can't we just call him Philip??
DD's name is Olivia Josephine. My sister came to visit when she was about a month old and called her Ollie Jo. Some of the neighbors call her Livi and others Vivi. I don't mind any of them - I actually love "Ollie Jo". Besides, I'm sure there will be tons more. In fact, I have called her Beastie (like in Maleficent) since she was born. It kind of fits her. lol
